Instant Karma 3 civ/player, no AI

I think we have a misunderstanding here. Are we talking about teams as in the civs controlled by the same player or team in the game itself?
Technically there aren´t any teams in Triumvirate Uprising itself, hence you don´t share diplomacy, research, wonder effects etc. between the civs you control.

Correct on all counts.
You asked for tech trading & i mite also like... within limits. I am suggesting a blend between NO trading(as with other PBEM games) & some trading (as we do in our solo games with AI).
This is/could be a bit of both... trade within your 3 civs, but no trading with other players.
Gives us some flexibility to work tech & research but does NOT allow players to gang up on other player(s).

What do ya'll think? Want to try it or go NO as usual?

Comment soon please if U feel strongly 1 way or the other.

Okay... just so I'm clear, in this game, the three civs I (and each of us) control will not be on the same team in-game?

Is there any particular reason not to set the teams up in-game, especially if you're going to allow manual tech sharing within one player's civs? That seems like the biggest point of using the in-game team system anyway, to automate that kind of thing, aside from a couple other aspects as Knoedel mentioned, as well as things like shared vision. Seems like it would make things more tedious not using it.

Yes, we will each be an in-game team. Thus we will each be able to tech trade among our team civs (once Alphabet is researched), but not with other players.

Have 4 of 5 emails confirmed.

No? Either you didn't understand the team system or I don't understand you.

Hey, just a heads up, civs on the same team will automatically share all the techs they research, so there's no need to turn on tech trading or brokering.

Hm-m-m, are U sure? I had not played in a team Civ4 game.
I hope not, that will take alot of the challenge/fun out of managing & planning for 3 civs.
====================
I've sent confirming email replies back to all but "quikboy". You will see each others' gaming email addresses therein.
Hey "quik" U with us?
====================
I'm off to set this adventure up.
I'll set "quikboy" as Team 6 so he will move last & I'm trusting we'll get his email soon. :scan:

Yeah, there's a misunderstanding here...

If you are on the same team as another civ, tech and research points are automatically shared. It happens right from the start of the game, you don't need alphabet, and there's no way or option to change that. There is no need to do any tech trading at all so long as you set our civs to be on the same team when you setup the game.

Hm-m-m, thx(?). That makes it easier than i thot. Perhaps TOO easy?

Therefore, I will set it up with NO tech trading or brokering & no Advanced Start.

Ugh, the learning curve is getting steeper. Please bear with me on this set up. Once learned, it s/b fun.

BTW: What time zone R U in? Hercules, methinkso, & quikboy

OK guys, i kept it simple since teams share SO much already... launched it with NO tech trading or brokering & no Advanced Start.
Each player will be be able to play all 3 of his civs & then email to next player.

After we get our civs assigned, please join Instant Karma on Tracker & enter your 1st civ. We can then use Tracker for all future turns.

I joined as Mehmed II of Ottoman.

Emailed turn to Imp K.

Let's see how it works!? Happy gaming to All! :)

BTW: What time zone R U in? Hercules, methinkso, & quikboy

Probably should know the timezones before you choose the play order - for future reference. Follow the sun order should speed the game up.

I concur. I did as much as i could to that end. Starting with me in -8, then Imp K in +2, & U in GMT. Spread others between & quikboy last since did not have email yet..
From my experience, once these things get going, normal RL delays muck them up regardless of how well set.
Can do so within Tracker once everyone is in. Altho, the game sets order by team # & probably cannot be altered once started?

Hercules90 I don´t have your e-mail address.

Anyhoo I´m France, Maya and Celtia, only one of them founded their first city this turn while the other two moved to plains hills to prevent anyone from getting stupid ideas like trying to conquer me.
Starts are decent enough, the only starting tech I´m missing is funnily enough the only one I would need right away (Fishing) but otherwise no major complaints. After all I am literally sitting on a Gold mine.

Btw how am I supposed to join the game on the Tracker if you didn´t tell me the password=?

Thanks for update.
We're progressing!

Herc's email is on the "To:" line of confirmation email i sent to all of you (from krtfun@ ) in reply to emailing me your gaming email. (... except "quikboy" whom we are still waiting for an email)

PW = karma

Nevermind I just realized I do have his address after all, seeing as I am conducting diplomacy with him also in Tri Uprising and After the Launch.

My first civ is Napoleon of France.

Gps turn to Methinkso.

My first civ is Mansa Musa, next is Washington and third is Gilgamesh.

Happy with start position.

GPS to bathsheba

My first civ is Mao Zedong of the Chinese Empire, followed by Shaka and finally Charlamagne.

Charlamagne has opted to settle in place, Shaka will be making a quick move before settling, but Mao Zedong is at a loss for what to do. He has yet to find any resources even after his first move with his scout and settler, so his start position is not looking so hot.

Good.
Need time zone please.
It would help everyone here (& add to the fun) if U would add your location to your profile. :scan:

Note to All: Please join game on Tracker after taking your turns.
Thank U Imp.K, i filled in your leader & turn order. Good work.
Pls chek to see if i got your name correct.

I'm from Southern Krautland, i.e. Austria which is GMT+1 actually.
