Inter-Religion Balance Points

Well I don't know what's the timeline for the decay? I can't seem to make it far out of BC because I just kill everyone. Maybe if I made it to late game I would notice it? Also I never change my state religion, I just don't see the benefit. But I tend to spread a few religions around, usually 3-4 on my home continent.

I do like the idea of ancient religions that go obsolete. Also perhaps some sort of culture upkeep for religious buildings?

I get and spread them all to all my cities as part of my testing strategy, I don't get to play just for fun much.:mischief:

The religions in C2C are designed to meet your needs at differing times in the game. Druid/Shaman for food so you grow faster. Ngai/Tengri for early war. Kemitism and Hellenism for science. Scientology for commerce. If you are playing C2C "right" you should be changing your state religion throughout the game even if it is only to get access to the wonders or special units of that religion.

Well I grow through conquest, so I tend to use whichever religion makes my units better. And I pretty much stick with it. Same for civics. Whats 10% more science when I can get 2 more xp :)

Though I can see how your argument makes sense, but it is not very apparent. Maybe a pedia article showing what each religion benefits the most. Lot of the new concepts are not in there, and I learn though trial and error.
