When an AI makes request (trade or sth else) and you decline (for example) there is a leader animation that he is disappointed. Next step is to click "goodbye" which is very annoying because sometimes they propose deal every turn. It would be great if the "goodbye" screen will be removed after "decline" or we will have option "do not bother me" lasting as long as deal agreement.

Yes. Please add a "Do not bother me again". Its getting annoying with constant 'sales pitches'. Would really like to see a toggle or check box with the option to temporarily turn off those AI requests.

I'm frankly amazed the animations are ui blocking; "YOU WILL LOOK AT OUR LEADER ANIMATIONS! They cost 50% of the game's budget :/"

The civ 4 diplomacy window design was so much better;
- in a negotiation I don't need a full body presentation; passport style face and shoulders are sufficient. (Cha-ching, just saved Firaxis $1M of art assets)
- didn't take you away from the main game screen, which is both jarring and functionally suboptimal. ('Who am I talking to? Where are you located on the map? What actions on the map screen have precipitated this dialogue?)
- was not blocking; window popped up, animation played, but the user could simultaneously be considering their response, and enacting their decision(interrupting the animation of necessary)
