Interesting Screenshots

Here is a shot of my huge demigod histograph game:

An international city with citizens from all eleven (including mine) civs on this map

Looks like Seattle. :D

Here's mine:

I ROFL when I saw Alexander's comment. In years playing I'd never seen a leader make that comment.

I suppose you won by a time victory or something? Aztecs and the English aren't beaten up.

No, I won by Domination. Have you never won this way? Not everyone needs to be beaten up, just the ones who were killed. Those who stand until the end of the game, appear unbeaten in the leaders screen, just very angry and complaining like:

"What do you mean the game's over? I'm still standing! No one can conquer me!"
"Domination, shmomination! I refuse to be defeated"

A diplomatic victory shows rolls of papers, ink and quill in the background, and everyone looks happy with kisses painted in their face. Cultural shows a chisel, paintbrush, and books, and also everyone looks happy and loving to you.

Ahh. That makes sense.

Space shows the inside of the spaceship.

"D'oh! I thought we were supposed to kick your people off of the planet..."

Am I correct that you only get those closing screen shots if you are playing the standard, unmodified, game?

I'm not certain, Timerover. What I do know is that you don't get your palace built if you're playing a scenario, but if it's the main conquests file* you've altered, so your rules don't sit in your registry as a scenario, then you'll still see your palace being built.
With those closing screenshots the same thing might be going on. So if you want to be sure you get them, you could just replace the main conquests file after backing it up, although there is a simple 'default rules' tickbox on the main file, so you hardly need to back it up. There's more reason to back up your scenario, as with one misclick you could lose all your timelaboured rules.

*I mean of course the one that looks like the Civ III logo, but not the editor.

By the way, this is the screenshots section; we're talking to much and showing too few pictures!

Surely you jest! I thought that picture threads were for talking about other people's pictures, not posting your own! :sarcasm:

Here is one of the best deals I have ever had with the AI:

Wow, I didn't know the AI's ever even had that much money.

I had just captured the last Korean capital, but since they still have a settler they were not eliminated. Just for fun I contacted them to see if they had anything to offer for a (temporary) peace treaty until I could get a cavalry to their settler. I was quite surprised to see what they offered, since they right now have 0 gold in their treasury, and no cities to give them any income. I wonder how he plans on paying for this:
