Internet prank results in perv's arrest

The emails he sent to the 'girl' could contain evidence and statements of his intent if those were read to a jury.

I applaud those boys for their actions.

[devil's advocate]Is e-flirting a crime? Do they have any proof he was really intending to rape "her"?[/devil's advocate]
"Flirting" over the internet is not a crime. Intending to rape a teenage girl is. Whether the girl actually existed is pretty much irrelavent; what matters is he thought there was a real girl, who was too young to consent to sex, and planned on it anyway. He's clearly a danger to society, and needs to be locked up.

Good that these boys did the right thing and called the police, even though they probably shouldn't have been messing around that way to begin with.

This is why I always show up late when meeting 15 year old girls, and ask for her cellphone number beforehand..... oops! :mischief:

Just kidding. Good job, boys. :goodjob: Even if they really shouldn't have been in that situation in the first place.
