Translation: Why don't you want |_337 in the dictionary, holiday hawk???

Since i only understand a few words of it i guess i have a grudge against it, and it is used a lot on Halo forums and i don't understand it that adds to the grudge. I'll use a few words like pwn but i would just hate to see the day that n00b makes the dictionary.

If you ask any of my friends if 1337 is cool they'll probably say something like "I guess, i would have to say its one of my favorite odd number years", some of the few times i use it is on them since they don't know what I'm typing but I think I'll check Wikipedia out right now since I'm not doing anything else.

Adjective

grandiose

1. large and impressive, in size, scope or extent
2. pompous or pretentious

the term "grandiose" is grandiose

I guess it is, but it's still one of my favorite words.

Take a look at this hi-larious civ thread!

Oh yeah, i remember that thread. At first i didn't understand what it was and just thought for some reason they put that thread up there. Once i realized that it was a leet reference i kinda felt stupid it took me that long, but I've been looking over 1337 on wikipedia and can at least say i understand some of it now.

avatar (plural avatars)

2. (computing) A digital representation of a person or being.
3. (hinduism) The earthly incarnation of a deity, particularly Vishnu.

What difference does that make?

(Owned is already in the dictionaries! :p)

The dictionary people probably wouldn't care for it (Heck, I don't even care for it). If it took them this long to get avatar, pwnd is probably pretty far down on the list of candidates.

And yes, owned is in the dictionary, but not with the online gamer type definition.

pwned has vowels when it's pronounced; it's just not noticed in the english transliteration of the word.
