Into The Future

War Between The Superpowers

The hatred between the "giants of the east" continued in the late 2100s. And ironically, the Aztecs once again declared war on Japan on July 15th, 2186, exactly twenty-three years after declaring war on Japan the last time.

Battle for Buffalo Creek

With war once again declared, the Aztecs sought to finally capture the former Iriquois city, Buffalo Creek, which was now controlled by Japan. Such a Japanese territory behind the main border with Japan was despicable to the Aztec government, and they wanted to do away with it once-and-for-all. Unfortunately, many of the Iriquois people who still lived there became victims of war.

After about five years of war, the Aztecs, apparently frustrated with their lack of success, fired a nuclear warhead at Buffalo Creek, killing thousands of people and greatly damaging the city.

Although they probably could have taken the city, the Aztecs, for reasons unknown, yet again signed a cease-fire with Japan, leaving Buffalo Creek a nuclear wasteland.

This war was concluded much like the last one, with lots of lives lost and not much gained for either side. Only time would tell if Japan and the Aztecs would ever be able to work out their differences.

I like how the story shows the internal conflict within the country.

Oh, I see. Glad you like it. I don't think I had done that much before that update.

Here awhile back I saved the map of this game, so I could mess with it if I wanted to. Tonight I loaded it up in BNW, and, strangely enough, the map retained fallout from areas of nuclear war that actually happened in the story.

Apparently the game considers fallout a feature on the map and keeps it even if the map is saved and reloaded. A bug, perhaps?

^^
Na I like to think of it as a feature. :) Also I take it you like starting in later Eras too?

Most of the time I don't. I just started in info era that time because I wanted to quickly get satellites so I could see the entire map.

The above discovery also proves that, at least at the time when the map was saved(which was pretty recent)that the Aztecs still have alot of uncleaned fallout in their territory. And Siam has some, too. I wouldn't know without doing this, because I never go in their territory. :p

Just wanted to drop in and wish everyone a merry Christmas!

:xmassign::xmastree::xmascheers:

Gah can't believe I haven't checked this out in awhile! Merry X-Mas!
I wish SWTOR worked for mac. So so bad. I'm missing out ALOT.

Nice to see ya back, Greek. Merry Christmas!

And I didn't know SWTOR doesn't work on Mac. Btw, SWTOR actually has some competition for me now that I have BNW. :D

What... SWTOR doesn't work on Mac? I'm getting a new Mac :(
And by the way, Greek is that avatar from Psych? It's a little fuzzy but that looks like Lassiter.

I'm afraid I have a bad announcement to make. :(

I have lost the most up-to-date save file for this game because my SSD apparently failed. I have yet to find any way to access the data left on the drive, so I cannot retrieve the save file. So, I wanted to hear from the followers of this thread, as to what you would like me to try to do. I have a few options: I can use an older save file and replay as far as I was before this happened(but some things may not happen the way they are already written); or I can try to send this SSD back and see if the manufacturer can retrieve the data, and I don't know how long that would take, considering that, I think, I may have to send it to Taiwan. I had been planning on doing another story after finishing my current BNW game, which was also on the SSD, and, therefore, is gone too. So, I could also just end this story and start writing a new one.

Anyway, let me know what you all think, and what you want me to try to do. And if this is the end, I thank you all for following and supporting this story over the period of it's about a year and a half existence.

I think it just might be a sign. I vote new story but with your unique play & writing styles. :) Also I just wanted to say its been a fantastic story and regardless of what you do :agree:

You think it's just time for this story to end?

Well...I don't WANT it to end, but...I feel like the big conflict has ended I feel like you can play it as long as you want, but interest in the community will slowly fade as time goes on, but I don't know that's just my opinion

No it doesn't. :(
Yes it is! You're the first to recognize it. Take this:

As for Heerlo's problem, I want this to continue but if it doesn't it will be missed. :( BNW Story maybe?

Even if I replayed from the newest save file, things probably wouldn't turn out the same, so it would create quite a mess to fix, and I'd probably have to rewrite some of the story. :(

I've started a new BNW game and have also written a little about it. So, unless there is an overwhelming demand for this to continue, it will probably just end here and I'll probably do a BNW story.

Sadly no. But great game.
