Whatever a tech obsoletes a wonder, it itself alot of times gives the ability to build a new wonder! case in point:

Bronze working- colossuss of rhodes
Invention- obsoletes collossuss
gives ability to build leonardos workshop

Automatic- stonehenge
Literacy: obsoletes stonehemge
Gives ability to build Shakespears theatre
Mass media: obsoletes shakespears theatre
Gives ability to build hollywood

Writing: great library of Alexandria
University; obsoletes great library
Gives ability to build oxford University

Ceremonial Burial: Great Pyramid
Monarchy: Obsoletes Pyramid
Gives ability to build Himeji samaurai castle
Communism: obsoletes Samaurai castle

Do you mean it gives the new wonder to the person who discovered the tech that obsoletes the old wonder or it gives the new wonder to the person who's old wonder just got obsoleted (if that's a word )?

I mean it obsoletes the enemy's ( if they have it) wonder and gives them the person who researched the tech that obsoleted the wonder to build that wonder from the new tech. or else cultural would be easy with science!

I know what you're saying. Techs that cause wonders to be obsolete also are techs that allow new wonders. I hadn't really noticed that before - nice observation. Makes it even more strategic to try and make opponents' wonders obsolete.
