(I felt like this didn't fit in the sports section per say you can move if you feel it's nessacary)
We've all read the "test games" storys for each modern sport Played between one college or another (Furreals look it up a couple sports ...seems to be a central point)
Okay so heres what I thought of (yes while I was cooking breakfast
)
1.The field is 50 meters wide (just 3 feet 3 inches wider than american football)
2.The field is 50 meters long (about 55 yards)
3.Played with a over sized american football (a rugbby ball isn't exactly that but will do)
4.Each team will have 25 players each
5.The ball may be moved by passing in any direction pass backs , laterals, forward passes
6.The ball may be passed after or before crossing the line of scrimige
7.The ball may be ran
8.The ball may be punted
9.Fumbals may be recovered by the offense or defense
10-.Each team may kick the ball once while it is on the ground after which it must be picked up at least once before it can be kicked agian
11.Each team has 10 chances to move the ball to the opponents end zone if they fail the opponent takes the ball at the place it stands.
12. okay no "rule" per say but tackles need to be heavly(spl?) regulated so that it it can be played with no pads , I don't no the exact rules in rugby but something simmalar
13. Reaching the end zone earns your side one point (BRILLIANT!@!!!)
14.Should the enemy (damn how do you spell opseing , opozing? ARGHH) team come up with the ball in the end zone and they are tackled inside the end zone they will take the ball the next play in that spot if they are saced with the ball in the end zone the enemey team gains a point
15.Each end zone ought be aroung 10 meters long and 50 meters wide
I debating whether or not catching the ball in the end zone , running it in and
catching a punted ball in the end zone should all be worth the same amount of points ...*think think think*
In highschool I was able to get threre highschool soccer teams to play Futsal
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futsal in the off season at the park ....
I'll get a test game together in 2 years (since Iam goin away for a while) ....
I'll just ask the rugby team at UNVL
Anyone else got a sport the wanna make up - explain?
