I notice a lot Iran is circumnavigating the globe first in my games when I play at 600 AD. (also in my recent one they also got to the incas first...!)
This last game perhaps is tainted because I was playing germany and I had france and spain neutered because I warred them and vassalized them, so it gives other nations more time.
But, when I played as the Thai I had the same thing happen, the Iranians circumnavigated the globe first.
Does anyone else notice this happening a lot in their games? I just think its pretty funny, doesn't really change the game much I don't think
