Alright so recently i saw the Iron Sky movie and it got me thinking, why not make a mod of Nazis with a huge UFO fleet invading Earth? But of course a mod like this requires terrains, lots of new units, leaderheads, a map, and some serious rule changes.
Well since i have no life (Lol) i have decided to attempt and take this idea and make something.
So heres a list of the basoc things i need to begin_
1. Terrains
A. Moon Terrain
B. Space Terrain
2. The Map
A. An idea for how the map should be setup

Now does anyone know where i can find the terrains I need?

You might want to take a look at Balthasar's Lost World map, located here.

And also take a look at some of the existing scenarios and modpacks in the downloads section. You might find one that you can adapt to what you want.

There a few different versions of "space terrain" around this subforum. Just use those as the search terms.

For the map - broadest strokes - the earth & moon are land terrain, water terrains are space. How big they are relative to each other, how far apart, etc. all depends on how you balance the game.

Try roughing out how you want it to look as a simple graphic. Later you can use that graphic to produce a rough and ready map using bmp2bic or Quintillus' editor. Play on it to get a feel for the size, placement of terrain, etc. Using either of those two programs it's fairly quick work to edit the graphic & convert it to a newer version of the map.
