Is Civ 5 going to be Real-time ?

I'm pretty sure CivNetwork is not scrapped, but that they had to go back to the drawing board.

About Civilization Network, well I'm sad. Sid apparently scrapped it, for the only reason that players didn't share gold,

To me, it sounded like they only scrapped that one feature.

Ah ok, ah i feel better now. I just got frightened when seeing "Civ Network" on the picture.

The CivNetwork from that screen shot, was the network version of CIVI. It did not take off like the original version of CIVI did. Shoot The internet was still a toddler then. How could it take off?

Sid should not be that hard on himself. Maybe the game helped propel the internet onward. LOL

Making Civ V real time is probably the only thing that would make me actually not even give the thing a chance. If i saw that on the box I wouldn't buy it or check out any kind of review or anything. Just about anything else is worth looking at but no real time for me thank you very much

I warn you- if it does, make sure. Why? Well, according to Best Buy, Civ4 BTS is classified as a real time strategy game (seriously- the sticker on the box says Genre: Real Time Strategy).
