I'd read a post by a developer that they were looking to make the game 64bit in the near future (this post was around the time it was released) - is it?
I'm thinking of buying more memory on my machine and I'm looking to see which applications would actually make use of it

Hello themoffster,

If you are running Windows 7 64-bit as your OS, you will have a much better experience with 6GB of RAM than with 4 GB of RAM. You will see no difference between 6GB and 8GB, though. And of course you aren't using 4GB, right? :)

Consider, too, a new graphics card; it can make a bigger improvement than the RAM, but it depends completely on your setup.

Good luck!

Just to say something weird but true: Civ5 even runs better on Win7 with 2 GB RAM. I'm not kidding, i have tried it (now i has 4GB RAM and it runs completely w/o problems, nice and fast unless i play a gigantic map with 24 civs)
