Okay, so first of all I have to admit that I first checked out this game from piracy. (which makes me unable to do a MP) Moderator Action: CFC does not condone piracy at all. But we're happy that you decided to be a real fan and bought the game. I am now addicted to it and just bought GOTY and korea + wonder pack from Steam from the autumn sale off 66%. I am currently not in a location to do civ5 yet(vacation) but will try it asap when get back, so I wanna know if the MP gameplay is smooth and stable just like in SP ? Because I used to do CivIV and the MP gameplay didn't impress me much(minor lag and delay).

No the MP is not smooth. The next patch is expected to patch it (the first MP patch since the game's release over a year ago).

In my experience, so far the MP requires either to play on the LAN or to have the phone # of the person/people you're playing with (preferably friends) so you can keep them apprised of disconnects, resyncs, crashes, etc. and coordinate reconnection.

Just make them your steam friends. Random games should be with 4 or less players. Otherwise, set up many sessions with trusted players.
