yea just want to +1 this, since it can't be stated enough.

wasps suck and some are invasive, but for just native wasps at least, they're part of the ecosystem, and shouldn't be actively culled.
In this part of the world the native wasp species are more important pollinators than the much-vaunted honeybees.

That's something which is true for basically any species.
Save mosquito. Mosquito can burn in Hell.

That is a point I did not touch on. Gene drives for eliminating whole mozzy populations are on the table if we want them. They are the scariest dystopian sci fi tech if every there was one, but they could save millions of lives a year, mostly the poorest and most disadvantaged children.

We have also gone the other way and have built a mozzy factory in Brazil.

The non-profit World Mosquito Program (WMP) has announced that it will release modified mosquitoes in many of Brazil’s urban areas over the next 10 years, with the aim of protecting up to 70 million people from diseases such as dengue. Researchers have tested the release of this type of mosquito — which carries a Wolbachia bacterium that stops the insect from transmitting viruses — in select cities in countries such as Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia and Vietnam. But this will be the first time that the technology is dispersed nationwide.

They're a predator we can't replace the function of. Killing them is bad, foolish, and shortsighted.

Flying insects and pollinators are having a hard enough time already.

This.

When gardening, wasps do a great job hunting out pests that would eat our plants.

I woukd only kill them if it's da gerous to you eg nesting in your house or there's to many and they're detrimental to the environment.

Warm winters can also result in super nests.

Wasps…..execute order 66!
