Is it possible to convert Civ 3 models to Civ IV?

I am wondering if it is possible to convert civ 3 models to civ iv and then convert them to civ v? Any help would be great.

Sadly it's not a question of how many question marks to add. I saw the question the first time and decided to subscribe to the thread because I honestly don't know the answer. Looks like I'm not alone because 75 people have read the thread and still no answer.

I'm pretty sure Civ3 unit graphics are not actually 3D (just animated 2D pictures with a 3D look), so there are no Civ3 models to convert.

EDIT: At least unit graphics like these are FLIC video files. Those might be made from actual 3D models though, I don't know.
