Is there a promotions chart for units?

Is there a promotions chart for each unit/unit type out there? I never feel like I can plan the promotion progression of units the same way I can plan for tech development, policy progression, or city development.

Also, if anyone has any hints on getting units up there past level 4-5 - other than kill stuff and don't die - I would be very appreciative.

Fortify a unit outside an enemy city that has a ranged unit in it and place a unit with the medic upgrade next to your fortified unit. You'll get 2xp per turn from each bombard that hits your unit.

If you can have your unit sitting in your territory 2 spaces from the enemy city, it'll heal 3 hp / turn, so it can withstand 3 bombards. Combined with the honour upgrade that gives 50% more xp, that's 9xp/turn without having to move the unit.

I think it's pretty much:

Open terrain bonus
Rough terrain bonus
Then either better healing, or City attack bonus.

That's what I do anyway.

Don't make peace with a city state that is allied with your (former) enemy you just made peace with. Keep training a couple of units with the CS.

Also, milk bombardments for all they're worth and get military tradition early.

Hmm, thanks for the chart and advice...from looking at the chart I was surprised at its simplicity. I always imagined from some of the talk I heard on here that there were a bunch of super-awesome promotions way beyond what I had seen, but really, there isn't.

Wel, Logistics, Range, March and Blitz are superpromotions that are available at 100XP or so.
