Is there suppose to be a team-texture feature?

Somewhere in Nexus I think you can switch between team-colors on the units, that color on part of the unit's texture. I want to remember I did that for the mech. However I've looked a couple of times but I haven't been able to find anything like a texture-map that applies team-textures or anything in the unit-XML files that would set the colors.

IIRC team color textures in Civ 4 was simply adding a band of a specific pink color to the texture and the team color would replace it. For Civ 5 however, I think they did away with unit colors in favor of relying on unit flags.

Units are coloured by their Civilizations color.

Skajaquada, I haven't not really messed with the colours, but if it is possible to make a all Civilizations on a team the same colour then both Civilization's units will be the same colour.

Example: The default colours for the Roman and Greek factions are Purple and White respectively. If you are able to change it so if they were both part of team one and they are both Purple because of that, then the units should both be Purple.

Normally if two Civilizations have the same colour one is usually randomly changed to a different colour, so I don't know if it is possible to avoid that. If it is somehow possible to get around the random colour assignment, then it is possible to make the units for both Civilizations the same colour.

It's strange, I was really sure there was a button or something in the unit-viewer in Nexus that switched team-colors but I've been going through all the viewers and there's nothing there. However I'm also sure it said "Step 1 of 5" before the Asset Importer crashed and not "Step 1 of X"... What's X?? I suppose it's not impossible it was some feature they removed and forgot to remove all traces from the first time.

This is basically "splashed" on pre-defined layers of the 3D models in a secondary slot of textures. Most probably a diffuse region where Civ colors use the UV mapping calls for the corresponding polygons.
But since the GR2 format isn't really a valid default RAD Tools(Granny_$12500US, btw) file, we wouldn't be able to re-assign (or design new ones) such areas for custom processing.
