Considering that I really can't go much higher in price, is this computer at 599.30 a decent purchase? (It seems more than reasonable at a glance to me).

Asus K53TA
2.3GHz AMD Quad-Core A6-3400 processor; 4MB L2 Cache
4GB system memory; Expandable to 8GB
500GB hard disk drive
15.6" LCD display
Windows 7 Home Premium
1GB AMD Radeon HD 6650 Graphics
Dimensions: 1.4"(H) x 15.12"(W) x 10.12"(D)
Weight: 5.72 lbs

(Basic stuff like speakers, connection, etc not listed because they're not really a concern).

I've heard some pretty nice reviews of ASUS computers from people I know, and this one is by far the best GPU/Cost ratio I've seen to date - most of the other computers in my price range have HD 6470 or even 6250 which is not the same ballpark at all)

I'd buy it. Speaking of that, where can I buy it?

That's at Staples. Dunno if they have them in-stock in Ottawa (I'm back in the Montreal suburbs for the summer), but then again I dunno if they have them in-stock in Montreal either. It's a next-day delivery on their website.

Well, after the comments here and the positives I heard on ASUS from two tech-savy (as in, people who handle computers for a living) friends elsewhere and comparisons with other available, I went ahead and got one.
