Using IE5, when I go in the off-topic forum, the icn in the address bar changes. It doesn't change in any other forums (as far I as can make out).

Eg. site feedback is still the bog-standard IE shortcut icon. Is this something scripted on the page, or is it just a weird idiosyncracy?

I also had that icon in my favorites when I first bookmarked the site but it has disappeared and now it only shows the dull explorer icon....

the icons normally dissapear when you have "delete temporary internet files after closing IE" enabled, esle the Icon sshould stay in your favourites since it's stored in the temporary internet files. a lot of webpages have that icon but it doesn'T show up every time, sometimes on the first view, sometimes only after 5+ reloads and sometimes not at all (allthough I know that site has an icon). Don't ask me why and how, just personal experiance.

It's called a favicon. That is prolly just won that came with vbull for the forum. Usually the favicon is used on the main page.

Some times they work sometimes they dont it has to do with the server and your browser. It isnt an excat science so it wont alwyas be there. They're a handy feature if it works properly. Not only does it apperar in the favourites menu but on your taskbar if you short cut it.
