Is this Site better then the bunk Steam Civ 6 forum

Latest steam ban was over discussing the global warming concept in Civ 6 latest expansion....for a political discussion...WTH????? then why put the concept in the game?...kind of ridiculous saing I cant coment on a concept in the game. :/

I got some warning here for mentioning a post on u tube......hmmm I didn't make the utube video, it was just there, as it seems to have turned out he was barely half right anyway :/….but if they are restrictive here I might as well not waste my time like I did at steam :/

This site is better than anything (but I haven't been watching anything else). There are already threads to climate change in-game (in Civ6 forums), and if you want to discuss the real-world issues, there is a section for that as well. Not censored for different political views I think.

Sites typically warn you first before banning. Persistence deserves penalty.
Political discussions can get out of hand so have their own forum.

This site has a great layout to me and some pretty good players that have taught me a lot.

Not much as far as I've seen. Righties tend to be pretty outnumbered though. If you're on that side you've got an uphill battle lol.

CivFanatics enjoys the benefits of being indepedent of the commerical realities of Steam, much like a free press does from the tyranny of paid-for PR. That's why I enjoy this forum, you know and can trust the independent voices of likeminded fans of the series without the disruption of casual fan or commercial BS. It's really something to treasure in these times of online guff.

Also quite a few independent sites are not well moderated making this site golden.
I paid a small sum a while ago and no adverts made this site graphically pleasant as well.

I suspect your enjoyment may well be diminished in the near future. I just opened the Civfanatics site a few minutes ago and was faced with some sort of Web "permission" gibberish referencing tracking cookies and advertising. Mayhap our owners have sold out to the dark side of commercialism?

I suspect that the cookies were always there. You're just seeing the warning now because of new laws and whatnot.

Even if they had I get no commercials and block spam.
I think you will find the volume of this site and the current rules make it unpalatable to investors anyway.
