Island Hopping

I am currently playing at Warlord level. It is 1620 B.C. I have Lighthouse and Great Library wonders. My first 5 cities are on an island with plains,grassland and a few hills. I have discovered an island where I can build 10+ cities. It seems the other islands around my main one have no other civ on them. Any ideas on how to proceed next? Thanks.

Built up some settlers and ships then charge forward.

It's good to expand your empire, and do it as early as possible.

You have the Lighthouse. It will therefore be easy to ship settlers to the bigger island and EXPAND.
(hint: don't forget that you can move your capital to the bigger island later on, in order to minimize waste and corruption: just build a new palace there and your capital will be transferred automatically)
