Issue with Religion Mods after patch

I started a new game on Monday as Indonesia. Founded my religion - Hinduism; converted lots of cities. Then resuming the game last night I found all those cities now believed in Smartism. What?? I had never heard of it, but I discovered it is a thing - it is a sect of Hinduism. In my ignorance, I didn't even know Hinduism had sects. I don't see anything in the patch notes to say that Hinduism has been replaced. It could be the religions expanded mod suddenly updating, but I would not have expected it to change a game in progress.

Anyone have any info on this?

Smartism is part of Tomatekh's Historical Religions, best practice is to start a new game after a patch.

If you have Tomatekh's Historical Religion - It seems he has released a new patch, which meant that any of your user settings got reverted.

The game handles data by using indices, the game doesn't point to "Religion_Hinduism" in the data, but to the index. If new religions were shifted around, it seems that with the reset mod your religion index points to "Samartism" instead.

If you were actively using the mod, just go into the file and make changes

If you were NOT actively using the mod, disable it in the Mods Manager and load the game - the game should load without it.

Some mods seems to load over and activate mid-game when they probably shouldn't.

Smartism, but it made me realize that it would be nice if Historical Religions added Samaritanism...

EDIT: I asked Tomatekh about it, and he said he's planning to add more religions after NFP is finished so he'd add it to the list.
