It is official

Just so everyone notices:

DO NOT LET CAT OR ANYONE FROM C3B KNOW THAT WE HAD THIS CHAT. If they find out, I will never be able to get info from cat ever again.

Nah. After Matrix edited his post, your posts looks like answers to Pggar. I guess everything is fine. :)

(And sure hope noone saw it before it was edited)

Arf. check UN ,JokerDF is on a vaction currently and won't be back until Thursday at the last ,so C3b got an extension until Friday.

Must second Cheetah, we better sit quietly and don't discuss anything but some abstract issues (a-la-Duck-style) on the UN.

Jury or no jury might be important though. IIRC, the rules does not say anything about the jury, only that the Admins determine the punishment. Though with guilty verdict it is somewhat unclear.

It might be also a good idea to basically disregard what The Cat says on the matters, it all might be complete bs IMO.

Issue #1

Summary

CFC approached the game administrators on 23 October with a suspicion of espionage within their ranks. According to their official accusation, an individual had created a duplicate account for the sole purpose of gaining access to their forum and conducting out-of-game espionage against their team.

According to an internal investigation at CFC, they assert that the duplicate account was registered at CFC using the same IP address as an acknowledged member of C3B. Furthermore, they claim that this duplicate account was created right around the same time that they had encountered C3B in the game. Finally, they claim that this individual did indeed visit their forum and participate in at least a dozen votes, and that the options he/she voted for were consistently in the best interests of C3B.

Applicable Rules

0.2.2 - Allowed Memberships
Description: Each forum will be allowed to determine the requirements for membership of its team as it sees fit. However, a person may only be a member of one team at any given time. A double membership is automatically considered out-of-game espionage.
Purpose: To disallow the use of out-of-game espionage and prevent anything that resembles out-of-game espionage.
Verdict: Double membership is strictly prohibited and doing so is a violation of this rule.
Punishment Level: Red (Ejection ? Personal or Team)

0.4.2 - Intentional Espionage
Description: Any out-of-game espionage in any form is strictly prohibited.
Definition: Trying to hack the secure team forum(s), continuously logging team chat channels, inserting moles in an opponent's team, hacking screenshots or savegame upload location, or any other action considered espionage as determined by the game staff
Verdict: doing any of the above as determined by the game staff is a violation of this rule.
Punishment Level: Red (Ejection)

4.3 - Fairness Pledge
Every team must agree to the fairness pledge before the game starts:
?I pledge to compete fairly and within the rules of the game. I pledge to adhere not only to the written rules, but also to the unwritten, spirit of the rules. I understand that failure to live up to this pledge may result in penalties for me and my team.?

Don't think you are more paranoid than anyone of us. :)

Surely, this new user looks somewhat strange. IP would be different, I bet. Though might be a Brasilian one.

The IP is Danish!

I don't know what's going on. The only possibility I can think of is that Joker asked a Danish friend to join here. To quote Sherlock Holmes: "If there is only one possible explanation, that is, however improbable, the right one."

There might be another explanation though. Would you know another reason why someone from Denmark would register at CFC as "joker_dk"?

Joker might be a popular moniker, there are a few other jokers at CFC. Since just simple Joker nick is not available, a Danish joker might want to use _dk (Denmark in www) as a suffix. It all again comes to dates and nothing more supporting the suspicion. Well, the accused himself had to use JokerDF nick.

besides ,while being accused for spying already ,making a new login wouldn't be that smart ,and especially not one that would b so obvious.

My guess is mabey C3B might be using a "Anyone can spoof a IP address when making an user id and made it to prove there case."
