It turns out your bad luck is all my fault

I can't re-adjust my home firewall to allow access from people on the Internet that I don't know personally. I am not getting any of your luck streams. My Civ games still play just like they used to. What do I do now?

Hi eris,
Try setting your firewall to randomly disable itself for a couple milliseconds every now and then. This will let lucky packets through while still protecting you from basically everything else.

And exactly which format and file extension have those " lucky packets"? And in which directory they are stored? I may want to emulate them or to edit them to magnify their effect....

P.S
Spoiler :
The above posted is shameless acid sarcasm. Poster does not acept any responsibility regarding the consume of that product

Awesome! This explains EVERYTHING!!! (Although my game computer isn't on the internet, I'm sure osmosis or something is at work here.)

^^Maybe the luck packages can be trasmited by radio waves as well...

You first need to research the Radio tech before the wireless luck packets can be received. Getting the Eiffel Tower wonder doubles their effect. I don't know what effect getting the Internet will have.

Thanks for the info, Dude. This helps alot as I don't like to play with cheats. So for now on I will disable my internet and wrap my computer in aluminum foil to block the default radio waves. Thanks again! ;)

I am so glad you have found an alternate solution! However, keep in mind that not everyone has access to aluminum.

Luck is, of course, transmitted by particles called "chanceons". These have negative mass and thus can travel faster than light and are not necessarily obstructed by anything material. They have properties named "bias", "wow" and "WTH", which result in their being attracted to probabilities; it is well-established that chanceons with strong negative bias congregate around high probabilities, and that chanceons with high wow are much rarer than those with high WTH. Efforts to concentrate positive-bias chanceons have so far been unsuccessful.

I do think that your theory is flawed: chanceons can't have negative mass, because that would make them to move away from material objects...

And it is widely known that "WTH bias" chanceons have a strong affinity to atoms with s2p2 electronic layers ( like carbon and siilicium ) , making that people and computers to be strongly affected by them, a thing that explains sudden burst of biased bad luck that strategical PC game players recurrently experience

Again , refined acid sarcasm.... Read at your own risk

I vote this Best Post Ever, in the Best Thread Ever!

I am adding this to my favorite quotes on facebook. Seriously.

I just hooked my computer up to a flux capacitor that generates extra chanceons and now my goodie huts give me rifiling and my opponents get attila the hun even with scouts.

I won a "Sid!" game in 6 turns by space race!

challenge? my GF is so hot, i could use a video of her as a leaderhead and win every MP just because you would never close the diplo popup to see your turns expiring!
