I've done it. They said it couldn't be done, but I have; you may all bow before my magnificence.

What you may be asking was my singular achievement? I managed to loose a battle where my odds of winning were 100% and the proof is in the picture attached.

The fight was between a fully fit Rifleman promoted to Drill 3 and an unpromoted, unfortified Spearman in a town. I know the spearman was unpromoted and unfortified as it was wipped last turn, quite why the AI is wipping spearmen when I have never controlled any horses is a question I can't answer :crazyeye:

:king: I will be available for viewing for the next couple of hours and again tomorrow :king:

I was pretty sure the Civ 4 engine doesn't give 0% or 100% odds, instead giving <.1% or >99.9%.

Of course, the photo might not be the sole product of the civ IV engine.

Who knows, I might be mistaken.

You are :D

It most certainly does show 100% battle odds, you can test this with the worldbuilder. And the shot was from a game, if you want I can upload the save I made at the end of turn and you can scroll down the combat results. I waited until I burnt the town to the ground, although I didn't have much of an option about that as I am playing OCC.

I'm going to have to stone you to death for promoting your units wrong.

Death to other people's ideas! Mine is the only correct one!

Now lets see you have a unpromoted warrior (we'll be nice and let it have full strength) attack across kill a mech inf with every promotion it can possibly get in a hill city with legendary culture and any other defensive bonus that would stack :)
I think my test of that used ~1000 warriors and didn't do any damage, they kept getting wiped out due to the first strikes (Drill I-IV, Woody III). After I took out the first strikes, I used several hundred more battles without a kill (but some did decent damage).

To think I threw a mad-dog rage losing at 97%

Hats, coats and accoutrements off to you, well done.

Altho' personally, Id've promoted said Dude against Melee and Archery units before Drill...

Soz about double post maybe the Gremlins wanted me to say it twice.............

Now if tomorrow you can bring peace the the Middle East and understand a woman, you'll have earned yourself an early weekend.

The worst general and the worst troops of all time, perhaps if you disbanded any unit that has 100% odds before the battle you can add cowardice to the list or gift a unit to an enemy and add traitor.

Ouch, very unlucky "its better to be lucky than skilled anyday" i'm living proof of that and so's that spearmen.

Hehehehe, well done sir! I had a similar incident in a recent game where one of my precious CRIII infantry, carefully husbanded, lost to a damaged, unpromoted, unfortified longbowmen . . . gah! Odds were >99.9%
