Maybe like "the first buildings of every district produce +1 of another yield: culture for shrines, science for amphitheaters, production for markets...". I don't know the historical justification behind this, but it would encourage a polyvalent gameplay. Not necessarily what I love the best but very interesting nonetheless!
I wonder if Vietnam will be part of the asymetric civs. They're the funniest to play to be honest.
Does the capital name of Thăng Long point to or away from anyone? My expert Wikipedia research indicates that the name was given to the city in the 11th century, so that would make Lady Trieu somewhat unlikely, but to be honest I know embarassingly little about Vietnam *(and Asia overall) history, so I'm curious what you think.
Very interesting. The preserve looks like it will mesh with my "minimal improvements" playstyle. The new Mode is what I've always wanted, using resources and economics to their full potential. I can't wait to see the First Looks for Kubai and Vietnam.
Still waiting for leader and Civ features via the First Look, but I'm digging Vietnam's capitol building and symbol. Didn't realize the significance of turtles in Vietnamese culture - looks like I have an exciting folklore and myth rabbit hole to check out
Preserve seems like a really odd choice for a new district. We already have National Parks to basically do the same thing.
I think it will be a very fun district, no doubt. I really like the new Teddy and playing with appeal and boosting it for yields is a lot of fun - it just doesn't seem like something the game really needs?

I hope they boost tourism, not just indirectly via appeal. From the video it looks like it can be built on forest. I wonder if you can build national parks on top of them?
O/w it will defeat the objective cos parks are hard enough to build cos of the multitude of contraints.
