Jerry Springer and his knuckle-dragging clones make me wanna puke.
It's not so much him - he's just a modern P.T. Barnum, taking advantage of the fact that suckers are still being born every minute. Nor do the featured guests bug me that much - they're simply paid actors.
No, what makes me wanna puke is the audience. Not only do they lack the critical facitlities to differentiate between fact and fiction (Springer-type shows=fiction), but then they have the unmidigated gall to line up like lemmings in front of a microphone in order to express their moral outrage. One by one, these stupid cows try to top each other in hyperbole and hypocracy, and the most disgusting display is evident in the direct correlation between stupidity and applause. The greater the stupidity, the louder the applause.
My recomendation? Turn off the TV, and read a book.
