JFD and Janboruta's Civilisations

Hungary will be updated in the next few days with a new Trait and new effects for the Vegvar (again...), and this will come at the same time as the update for Cultural Diversity, which is currently just being polished.

Care to share the new trait, or is it a surprise? Excited either way.

Alright, JFD - try as I might I could not recreate the crash that people are having. I found this both incredibly pleasing and surprising, since I was sure my copy of the mod was still borked for some reason or another. But it looks like my Lithuania is working now. I will say that before it decided to shape up, I was still occasionally getting crashes, but if I can't replicate it now I don't think it's worth bringing up. Sorry, looks like I can't help these people still having crashes after all.

Hungary sound fun! Does the second part of the UA apply to other Civ's cities which also follow the same religion as Hungary?

I'm assuming that as the subscribe leads to the old mod, the Download link isn't updated either?
Can't wait to give them and Cultural Diversity a go!

No it doesn't apply to other cities, but its not a bad idea to implement. Could re-enforce the idea of Hungary being diplomatically defensive as well. I'll add that in, thanks.

The mod hasn't been updated on Steam, but the dropbox link is updated with the new UA and UB effects. If you use it, just be aware that it'll be updated again in a few days, and would potentially be incompatible with save games.

I'm having some problems with your Armenia civ. I'm trying to set up a game on Gedemon's LargeEurope map, and the civ does show up in the mod manager, but I can't choose it from the dropdown menu when setting up the game. I am using your TSL patch even though it looks like you've also added support for this in the mod itself(?).
Also tried unchecking the patch and adding the TSL to the CivilizationsStartPos.xml in YnAEMP modfolder, but still the civ doesn't appear.
Guess it isn't conflicting mods, since all your other civs show up. Am I overlooking something obvious?

Could't it be because I'm using USSR (Stalin) as a replacement for Russia? You know, with references and all. Or is that not important?

I've just had a look and I can confirm that it works for me, without the patch. I'm not really sure what the problem could be. Have you tried using just Armenia and YnAEMP? No patch, and no adding the co-ordinates to the CivilizationsStartPos.xml file? Otherwise, you can enable logging (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=487482) and post to me your Database.log file (post to Pastebin http://pastebin.com/, seeing as you probably don't have those privileges here yet) and maybe I'll be able to help from there.

Just check with only Armenia and YnAEMP and it works fine then. Sould have check that first of course. Going to reenabling my other mods and see where the problem is.
Thanks a lot.

Ok, I can confirm that when using the The Soviet Union (Stalin) civ, Armenia doesn't show up. Is it because of the references to Russia in the Armenia mod? And is there some kind of work-a-round?

Okay, yeah. Sorry, there's a depreciated method in that mod I'll make a note of to fix. In the meantime, you can just go to your My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization V/MODS/The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (Stalin)/SQL folder and delete the file called "RemovesCatherine.sql"

I've tested Lithuania mod again and again and again and don't know why but now it works without problem and no crushes.

Updated Hungary:

  • Added new UA and UB effects.
  • Added new War Theme, courtesy of Janboruta (the old War Theme is going to be re-purposed, hint, hint).
  • Fixed text issues with Tripoli.

Apostolic Majesty: Earn Faith equal to 25% of the Defensive Strength of your cities following your main religion. During wartime, Faith from cities following this religion contributes directly to the training of Military Units.
Hussar: Replaces Cavalry. A fast Mounted Unit used for hit-and-run attacks and scouting. Especially deadly with flank attacks. Only the Hungarians may build it.
Végvár: Replaces Castle. +7 Defense and 25% religious pressure for the city when at war against a civilization following a different majority religion.

This replaces the City-State of Budapest with Tripoli.
Because this civ re-purposes the Hussar, Austria now receives the Dragoon as a replacement to the Cavalry. The Dragoon gains a combat bonus vs Mounted Units and earns promotions faster.
Includes natural compatibility with Gedemon's YnAEMP Compatibility Patch, Tomatekh's Historical Religions Mod and the Ethnic Units mod.

I was kinda wondering why Tiridates wasn't showing up (so he could be Kyouko's BFF), and it never showed any kind of database.log errors...

Does vanilla Russia have to be present for Armenia to work, or is it just an issue with the Soviet Union mod? If it's the latter, then I'll just make my own "delete Catherine" mod for the time being.
