JFD and Janboruta's Civilisations

I'm not going to do WW1 Romania anymore. It can rot in the More Civs Republic jail. It is Jan's punishment for transgressing against his Emperor :p Also, Viregel didn't seem too happy with the hand-over, and frankly 4 civs at once has been hard - 5 would be hell.

No, I've regressed to my second-original avatar. If you didn't know, I'm a Hermes-fanboy.

I accept the punishment, but this will only make me finish the art for your WW1 civs before the More Civs ones. :p That however, will make every party have an even number of WW1 civs: JFD at 6, Tarcisio at 4, Pouakai More Civs at 2. So tidy! :p

Also thank you for updating all those civs recently, especially Sweden and the Regal Ship's EE incarnation - replaces Galleon as it most likely should. Very much appreciated!

Well, if Borgia is resurrected, there's the other Renaissance one (so one that we might've ended up doing anyway), and the other Enlightenment I believe we already discussed and indeed I am especially keen to take on a double GP civ :p And now there's no deadline on WW1 civs (nor Enlightenment, really)... I mean, of course we'll move the Enlightenment-but-only-by-Western-technicality over :mischief:

General PSA: Will release the Enlightenment civs tomorrow sometime (well, today for me). I just couldn't be bothered with all the reddit, steam, patreon, etc., etc. stuff (I need a PR rep. :p). Sorry that they couldn't be released alongside EE. Not happy about that, but whatever.

but my game version is 1.0.3.144
I wouldn't think this in itself would necessarily cause game-crash, but it certainly would make it so that any of the new hooks added in patch 1.0.3.276 will not function. Whether JFD used any of these new methods within any one particular civ I can't say, but I have several mods that simply would not work for you because of your patch-version. And this may be root-cause for why a JFD-civ doesn't seem to work properly, if/when you encounter such a condition.

Can't wait for it :D Still haven't decided who to play, between Alexander and Joseph... And maybe Augustus too because their UU is awesome. (All this based only on icons, their actual designs will be the tiebreaker :p)

And oooh I love playing as Russia in TSL maps, so much land to conquer and colonize on all sides, so much fun :D

The most likely cause of a CTD, at least AFAIK, is going to be something being called to the DLL that returns a nil value, which is going to happen when there are things missing from the database when they should be there. At least, that's what I've surmised. Now, unfortunately, as you add more mods, the chance of this occuring too increases, as a number of mods are inherently incompatible or have been written in less than compatible ways. This actually will occur between my newest civs and my older ones, because of the changes to support for things such as Cultural Diversity.

All I have faith in is that the civs that I've recently updated (Hatshepsut, Djoser, Karl XII, Peter I, Prussia, Switzerland, Great Britain, the Turks, and Novgorod) will not cause any crashes when used together (and together with any combination of Cultural Diversity, Mercenaries, and Events&Decisions with Events disabled), save for when you are pushing your system too hard or complete anomalies. These I have tested on many occassions together, for many AI-only games into the 300+ turn mark (often to victory). Of course, I don't really know if the human player has an impact on that kind of performance, but otherwise I am fairly confident in the stability of these mods. Any other civ should be used at your discretion until I can get to updating them to the same standard. Before then, it's impossible for me to ascertain any specific instabilities.

This was more a reply to Guillelmus, but quoting him was too much effort :p

Well, do you like to use your friends to farm XP and then backstab them? Or do you like to harness the meritous of your people for endless Golden Ages? Or do you like to force your tourists into hard labour, constructing your magnificent palaces and love chambers? :p (and no love for the pizza-loving, mafia-touting Ferdinand?)

Naples is a little bit boring, why do you think that it took this long for you and Jan to make this civ :mischief:

Hmm all choices have their merits but only A will grant me world domination :scan:

While we're on the subject of aesthetic balance, technically, there are only 3 Ancient civs... :P In all honesty, I would much rather Civs stay in their respective time period. Or just add 2 new civs on top of the existing pile :D

Dammit JFD, I have work to do. :D

At least the EE civs are coming out. That I can be happy with :D Also, I hear interns are pretty cheap these days for managing PR.

I guess you will be adding their UU's, UA's and UB's on the Wikia later today/tomorrow?
