JFD and Janboruta's Civilisations

And then Ferdinand I told me Karl XII is on the way #truestory

Very enlightement feeling with this civs

What ever happened to the MP modpack for JFD's Civ's? I heard Kesler removed his because JFD was making his own. But I don't see where he has made one Q_Q So I am unable to play multiplayer with his civs. Is there one? If not can someone find me a modpack for JFD's civs for MP?

He hasn't put up any MP packs yet. I don't speak for JFD, but I suspect once he completes an Era Pack, he'll release an MP version of that too.

I would prefer not to put my conglomeration of a pack back up because:

a) JFD has not expressed interest in making an MP version. It was different before, where I put one up because there was simply not a good version to be found, and I didn't think JFD would ever make a pack.

b) JFD will be putting a higher grade version up, designed specifically for MP. I would rather people experience his Civs in multiplayer in the best way possible.

c) Marketing. I hope that prominent YouTubers play his pack some day *CoughYogscast* and I don't want to confuse players with another, lesser version. Better to keep it consolidated under the Banner of JFD & Jan.

The free trade route given in original Novgorodian UA made it easier to use early on. Now it takes a little more deviant teching from my part at least, unless one gets the Colossus/Petra. Don't know if that's good or bad, but it is food for thought. Usually ignore Compass and Construction for a while.

Also, the latter part of Karl's UA: I've only found the tile yield bonus worthwhile once when I planted a citadel on a tundra hill. Obviously know that it's only meant to be a bonus, but as it is know I think it's redundant and never matters.

(And Sweden still barely have tundra terrain) ;)

First bug(or not?): Joseph's unique decisions weren't showing(though I was just at the classical era).

My current game is with Joseph and his Decisions displayed fine for me

EDIT: I do have a problem of my own with good ol' Joe - I have a spy available, but the Espionage Overview is empty:

Have you the latest patch of the game?

For some reason, the ships with the Nunziatella Academy promotion gain a +350% bonus against cities. I don't think this is a mod conflict problem, and it is kind of game breaking (but extremely fun).

Whoops. Just a little too strong :p

Oh mighty JFD and Jan, I have yet to say thank you for releasing those civs because I had to play Saxony the moment it was out, but I have problem! you forgot to mention the theming bonus for the UB in the "Your Culture" culture screen... From what I can guess it is same civ, same era.

Will fix, thanks.

I considered a generic +2 Food on Citadels. This would perhaps be more useful?

Thanks for the releases JFD!

Going to have to work my way through all of them, seeing as they seem to interesting. Augustus' UA is really damn appealing, so he'll probably be my next game.

Haven't noticed any issues thus far asides from the fact that there seems to be a typo in one of Alex's greetings and Karl was commenting on my cataracts despite mistaking Carlos III for Augustus. Good times :p

Yea, I added the Saxony greeting in way back when, so hadn't updated according to Typhlomence's latest update. But Joseph II's unique greeting should be working ;)

If you want a more unique city list for Alexander, I assembled one for you. 38 cities with an emphasis on Patriotic war of 1812 (French invasion of Russia). Because of this, it contains some places which are completely irrelevant today. For example, Borodino has only 60 villagers and Fili has been absorbed into Moscow. On the other hand, everybody here knows about the Fili council of war.

No Constantinople this time. :undecide:

Akhtiar <- This is Sevastopol from 1797 to 1826. Current name was already in use since 1784, so both names could be used. I don't know which would be better. Sevastopol is probably more recognizable.

Excellent, thank you. You are hereby promoted to Minister of Russian Municipal Affairs.

Yeah, Revel (Ревель) was the Russian name for Tallin (Таллин, an extra "n" is still for the wimps) during the Empire. It wasn't rare for places in the current Baltic states to have a very slightly different Russian spelling. I guess it's related to the large number of languages used in the region during that era.

P.S.: JFD, I looked through the Catherine's city list - for some reason Riga is misspelt as "Rigo". I think it's also a good idea to change Peter's city of "Ohotsk" to "Okhotsk" in line with a more widespread spelling.

Will fix, thanks.

@J&J

A little modification on the unit model of Carabinier Guard, which make its helm looks much more similar to its unit icon and protrait.

Hope you will like it.

Awesome! I'll add this in the update.

Yeah JFD,all patch's on steam.Try to play with few enlightenment era civs, with E&D,Cultural diversity.Do i need comunity balance patch ?

With EE released would it be possible, or good, to move Sigismund's Estate to the Manor? Instead of the Bank and have it unlock sooner?

You don't need the CBP. I'll take a look.

No, because I don't support EE's Manor.
