Turn 192 (380 AD) - Inherited Turn
JesusOnEez IV settles in and surveys the world around him. It looks good. Begrudgingly, he contacts The Unclean in a tactical move to steal techs for a period of peace. Of course, he plans to wipe him out later, but for now, he feels extorting him for everything he's got will suffice. Mao gives us the ability to build ships of great majesty, and teaches us to do sums.
JesusOnEez IV feels our research rate is a little lacking, but sees Library's are being built across his lands. This will help educate the people, but somehow doesn't seem enough. He orders his most learned subjects to write stories about him, which, he hopes, will one day be stored in a Great Library for everyone to read. Literature is on the horizon, but something else must be discovered first...
Sanctuary is building it's Library too slow, so JesusOnEez IV changes the priority of work in the city, more than halving it's current build time (26 to 11).

Turn 193 (395 AD)
JesusOnEez feels he's being too kindly to his subjects, and that they are starting to take him for granted. He orders his security forces to whip Santuary's populace into shape to speed up the Library some more. Sacrifices must be made, and indeed, they were. The people know now that JesusOnEez is a leader not to be messed with.
A great new city is founded, and named Tequila.

We have learned Polytheism, which in itself is a useless tech, but it was needed for our scholars to reach their goal of great sonnets and stories. The Literature should come soon, but costs are spiralling, and the rate of research can only hold out for a few more years before the scholars will have to rest.

The Courthouse finally finishes in Brass Lions, and cuts our costs by 5 gold. It doesn't allow us enough cash to raise the research rate, but our gold was at zero in the treasury. JesusOnEez is pleased that one single Courthouse has had such an effect, and looks forward to the riches awaiting when the other Courthouses are finished.
