Yep I will be playing later on today. (been sick the last three days my eyes are foggy eating lots of cough lozenges) It's like 30 celcius and I've got a cold.

Me laughs and see Talamane's post which I missed earlier. DOH. It is short so easy to miss so war it is on HC. Cough, cough oops declared war on Washington DOH.....lol
 
Turn 0

Tactical: Excellent ready to attack.

Domestic: Osaka has uni/lib/and now building observatory with 3 beakers of science.
Edo change to forge crappy production.
Osaka change from observatory (queue) and start Heroic Epic)
Market in Marubeni only 3 gpt? Change to cavalry and tweak for some growth.
Sanctuary start observatory +25% more then leaving it on research (40) 36+25%=45.
Lake Placid has a lot of unhealthy.

Turn 1

Finish market in Rendaku (growth in 3 turns for gold) start cavalry.
Nara finishes granary start Work boat. Declare war on HC and catch a worker.
Queue theater in Sapporo unhappiness although later in the game I realize this can be alleviated by having two soldiers garrisoned at bigger cities to help with happiness. (HR)

Turn 2

GW asks for OB of course we decline.

Nagoya finishes observatory start market. Kyoto finishes forge start Musket for defense. Tokyo builds granary start lighthouse. Worker stuff. Troops in position to attack.

Turn 3

Knight attacks Samurai and looses. Troops on forest hill. We discover engineering.

Here’s something new, we have Cavalry but haven’t researched guilds yet. (didn’t know that). Start on chemistry for Frigates/Grenadiers.
Bombard Burgundian to 0%. Worker dancing around fixing stuff.

Turn 4

Galleon take out HC’s galley.
Cat attacks and looses
Cat attacks and looses
Samurai attacks knight and looses (84%)

Move troops to nearest bar they are thirsty. Happens to be in the same direction as HC.

KM finishes cavalry start library. Move troops towards Atico lightly defended wow overkill or what.

Turn 7

GW wants to trade silver for wheat but I delcline so you heathen. Yukkiee and he is getting less friendly too.

BL finishes Musket start cavalry . Nagoya finishes theater start lighthouse.
Samurai takes out a pike near Atico.
Bombard Atico to 2%.
Swords attacks and looses (use him for bantha fodder)

We take Atico and raze it.

We get a worker too. HC has founded three cities since last time. Let’s finish him off this time.
Worker scratches his ass and forget what it is he is doing. (homer moment)

Turn 8

WE running paganism and can do free religion now which will help with happiness/science. Anarchy will take two turns.
Easy fix for unhappiness is to garrison more units in the unhappy ones. (HR). HC starts another city behind me, this schmuck is annoying with his city popping. Send two Samurai to deal with it. Also HA barb show up. Worker SCHTUFF/Troop deployment.

Turn 9

Move Galleons with soldiers towards HC lands. Ok took out that Quino city with the two samurai. Worker SCHTUFF>
Move troops towards Nasca. (gee they have the Nascar there mmmm)

Turn 10

Samurai take out HA barb. Troops at Nasca ready to attack. More Samurai on the way, also 5 galleons of soldiers on the way. Also moving crossbow into sanctuary for garrisoning to alleviate unhappiness. We are at 20% culture but it won’t take long to get rid of HC.

Squiff = Englishism (at least in my part of the world). Means much the same as "wonky". The rooster is on the wonk, or on the squiff.*

*I may be making all this up.
 
Ok I was drowsy when I played that. I revolted to "free religion" but never thought we were in war and should have stayed in theocracy. Nice smoke move on my part but we don't need much in the way of troops just some cats/cavalry. It did help with happiness but we could do the same but garrisoning more troops. I was also fixated on getting the science better and Free Religion does boost science. So Jesusoneez do what you think is better but that "anarchy" slows things down.

Our land mass is looking good and maybe we should get some settlers to settle the new land and keep some troops handy for Monty. Just a thought???
 
I'll have a look at the save tonigt, but by now we should have some heavily XP'd Samurai's. I've got no problem not being in a Theocracy, although if we need a big military build up to defeat Monty then reverting back to Theocracy would be the thing to do.

I'll carry on destroying HC, and hold off on military production as much as possible to build some buildings that'll give us a monetary gain.
 
Theocracy wouldn't help unless we have a state religion ... did we get one while I was sleeping?
 
I don't think you do. I remember it only giving the extra experience points if the city the unit is built in has the state religion.

I think you're thinking about the other civic ... ummm ... vasalage or something. That one gives you extra experience point in all cities.
 
Another cough, cough moment. In bed last night it dawned on me, we weren't even in theocracy (confusing it with another SG) we were in Paganism. Don't mind me I'll be alright in a week when this darn cold goes away.

Berzerker we do have some seriously upgraded samurais.
 
Yup, we've got some seriously kick-ass samurais. Well enough to take HC out for good. Only doubt I have is that they might not be enough to take out the rest.
 
Has anybody worked out where to put the heroic epic/west point national wonders? Since Osaka has started HE, i presume we will put West point there as well.
 
Osaka is as good a place as any to place HE and WP I guess ...
 
Phew, I'm back now and can play Civ again. :cool:

I haven't looked at the save, but have we definitely decided on Domination? Or is Space still an option? It seems to me that Domination could be difficult with the number of settlers we'd need to build, but I haven't looked at the save in a while...
 
How 'bout conquest? Is that a viable victory condition or is it disabled?
 
I think we'd pretty much decided that we're going to go for Conquest, with Space as a backup (their techs are both compatible to some extent). I think I posted somewhere that I should have disabled Domination as leaving other civs and getting a win would seem to go against the Xenophobic feel of the game.

I also think I put a destruction order in somewhere as well.

HC, followed by Monty shouldn't be too much of a problem...we'd need to leave a few units on their continent to prevent other civs spreading there, or to take out new cities.

Then on to the American/Arabian continent...I would suggest starting war with America first, since they are the most powerful, and hopefully we can bring Saladin in on the fight...

I'll be playing in the next twelve hours, but for now, it's time to go out for lunch and beer.

Can we collaborate with an unclean civ??? I like it, how are they to each other. PS once we weaken GW he might join in on his own for the land grab.

I also think that no matter the price, once we start in on a civ we keep going so getting police state at some point (fascism) would be a great help.

The reason why I say this I noticed HC rebuilt rather quickly just causing us to do it over again. Now the only time I like doing it over again is when teacher says I am a bad boy. LOL
