100MB for the year? Cry me a river. When I was in college, we had to pay for net access in our dorm rooms and the campus server was a freakin abacus.....and that was only five years ago.

Then again I did attend Podunk U.

Pfft, if we're a university we ought to have *good* internet. I don't mind if the administration was upfront about the net sucking, but they sold themselves as one of the number one "wired campus" this side of the mississippi. It is ridiculous how they exaggerate and straightout lie to get folks to attend... bah, I say!

Just got several emails from Warlord Sam. He played the game and sent it to me, but also wanted me to mention that as his email is working but browser isn't.

Warlord Sam's internet still isn't working but his email is. He mentioned to me that he was thinking about dropping out of the game because of the situation, but I urged him he shouldn't since he can receive/send the file (that I would post for him). He wants to keep playing, but was mainly concerned what everyone else would think of this. Is it okay with everyone that he can play but not post for the time being?

so long as Warlord_Sam's still playing and emailing I don't really mind. I'm sure he'll solve his technical difficulties in the mean time and begin posting again. I will send him an email personally expressing my approval that he continues playing.

Yeah, he mentioned the situation was improving. He might actually be back online before the game resumes since Oblivions on vacation. We might get held up longer, even. I'm on the road at least three days of Labor Day weekend, I'm not sure if the file will get to me before I leave.

Remember way back when one of us was accused in another game about cheating/hacking? I found this thread and as I recall, this is *exactly* what happened. I bet the person (I forget which of us it was) had simply used the "goto" command, and that's what happened. Wanted to post this so that he/she would have a sense of closure about the situation, because I recall that it got pretty heated.

Hmmm. It seems I am having some problems with loading a game that's 1.20. As I recall there were some issues in that we couldn't play 1.22 version of the patch, right? If I upgrade it would make me unable to play?

You're right, 1.20 won't load into 1.22. That's why I've got multiple installs.
