You can expand Pacific and Atlantic - it was too easy to meet Aztecs in medieval era as Greece - my Greenland colony managed to uncover Canada, where I saw Aztec boats.
Most eastern part of Siberia barely extends past 180th latitude by the way.
So one or two tiles of Siberia can go past 180th latitude.

@Raxo222 I noticed that the equator is a tiny bit above what it is supposed to be, is it possible to decrease it by a few more tiles?
- The map is now larger with 124 x 200 = 24800 tiles (was 110 x 200 = 22000). This was made so that Earth's meridians, and thus animal/unit spawns, could be properly simulated
- Pacific and Atlantic oceans are now wider which prevents any kinds of contact between these continents before the medieval age (thanks for the report raxo2222)

One rescales latitude limits and other removes all latitude/longitude restrictions.
I also added backup, so you can cleanly restore original files.
Normal/Long should be nice - you will get tech per ~2 / ~4 turns.Okay, last question: What would you say is the recomended speed for the map? I hear a lot of people say Eternity but others list Blitz speed.
