Keldath addons

I dont know..the pinch promotion is wierd yes..that's a buggy thing..but i get no python errors, no CTD...
im even playing different civs in debug mode each for 15turns to see if the python error occurs..nada...now playing the chinese..i just cannot crash this savegame

here link of new savegame(last try with chinese to force some error, 1710AD already..)
 
btw, there are 2 civilizationIV.ini files!! you must check the warlords for
the 2 caching things..1 of them is enabled standard on install!! should disable both..and clear the cache manually....that is the only thing i can think about..because your comp..should be identical to mine...since..well..i got the files from you! LOL
 
ok mrgeanie - this what you do.

you put your nice cpu in a very nice and safe box,

put the sign -fragile.

put an adress ( will tell you in secret)

and then kiss your cpu bye bye,

and "fedex" your cpu to me :)

well - ill try again tommorow the game with you chache suggestion.

if it wont work,

i give you the honors to chose a warlord mod - amra or ket (or another)

for me to add to it 5uu and dale missiles. :)
 
LOL, im now on my wife's CPU...on the athlon...i can't send you this..she'll kill me...but my P4 doesn't crash either..at least not when i tried out this noon...

but my caching settings are stored in the my documents on the server(which I logon to automatically on both computers)...so i really think this must be some caching problems..some xml, system files, or whatever are stored there...

I could be wrong...but this is the only thing I can figure out..but my CPU..hell no!! :) here it's working and i can play your mod :) im not gonna change to a buggy cpu LOL unless you ..

ROFL...just watching a movie with a movie player..named FICKMAN!!! ROFL WTH :) they can't be serious there in hollywood hahaha
 
just played a quick game with cache set to how Mr Genie has it and guess what - NO CTD's at all - neither with walls and great wall - great wall only, walls only or no walls - can't even imagine why it's doing that all i can think of it the great wall event script - still warlord is messed up though - still get seals etc i think it's because the special build the warlord builds should be the military academy but instead he builds a special forces camp - maybe it's getting confused because Sevo already had a military academy for great general special .

Keldath it may be an idea to check the python script to see if Sevo's general general stuff is still there and his military academy also - as well as the warlords reference.

All i can think off now as Sevo has both the great wall and military academy - both of with were added in Warlords (using a warlords unique script I believe as well which is why I assume the other wonders aren't clashing)
 
yes, i concur(can i use this word this way) the thing with the seals is WIERD!!!! can we disable these units somehow?

ok - now il see to that marines, your right about the academy - ill see what it does, shoulndt be a problem.


and ill set up anew patch with also the ini defenitions to make it easier for players.

its in the gir python encoding.

i dont no what to do there,
and how it works,

but ill talk to him and see what we can do.
 
Okay, started another game and followed Genie's {wow, coincidence w/ his magic CPU and all???} instructions to disable cache and i'm about turn 250 with no CTDs!!!

I dunno, but its running smooth like a nice bottle of whiskey. . .
 
I hope this fixes it..then it's not a matter of the missiles patch..but a matter of cached xml's or whatever...running 110turns in the axil save game..no crashing yet....

people...sorry if THIS is NOT the solution....im just GUESSING!!! trying to figure out why it doesn't CTD at my comp... im very sorry to everyone who's testing if it doesnt solve the problem..please know...im just testing everything to help keldath with the mod..to help you guys figuring the CTD...im not a genius..im a genie! :)

here should be a cache directory or something similar..i dunno for sure since im doing everything by LAN...and got caching disabled from beginning of installing warlords..even before i first launched it...but should be something similar
 
or just hold shift when you click on the warlords icon that clears the cache.
also i havent been having ctd just these python exeption messages every time one of those marines killed one of my troops.
btw i keep hearing aboutt controlling the ai players how do you do that?
 
yeah every time you change a mod just hold shift the first time you play warlords. or civ for that matter
and controlling the ai players...?
 
controlling AI...in the game details select the debug option...

then CTRL z
then not pressing next turn...but use ctrl-alt-z to cycle through the players
 
Good to hear everything's starting to come together - nice spot Mr Genie I would have never even thought of that - BTW when I had the no CTD game I'd just changed the ini files and then just launched warlords afresh . Ok off to bed - have fun everyone and hopefully no CTD's :)
 
the only thing im afraid is when afterall someone is reporting a CTD...but then again..maybe there is more then 1 problem...it would be nice if there's only 1 problem LOL
 
ok, going to sleep here tooo...1.45am already ...i hope you guys can play without troubles now :) would be nice if keldath finally can turn his eyes on the glitches :)
