No, it's still there..when i choose random civs..18civs on the map..every 5th game i start i get the CTD...so it must be one of the civs(special unit or whatever) what is causing it
 
perhaps when we get a ctd we should list the civs that are in game then we can slowly see which is the common one and help narrow it down
 
Do duel maps to test civ by civ? (with cheat code on and quick and such?)

ok - i dicovered why you all have been getting tanks for leaders,

but still i dont think this causes the ctd,

axil - are you telling me that you installed patch 1 and then patch two on the main post????

cause if you did - and your not getting any ctd - then the answer lies there


ok guys - so dar itested some saves with this file attached -no ctd,

though - one file is having a ctd - but they already got the tank - so maybe its just ctd cause its not compatible anymore.

plz try this file and report

The game I'm playing atm is one I started after I installed both patchs before starting. It seems ok at least iron working bug wise however I'm just had a CTD when Hector tried trading maps with me ( thinking about it the ctd i attributed to the PC was also on diplomancy screen but this time with Bhutto.) The other save games I have sent you on previous days were without all the patches installed before start - the last one I sent before today was after i installed patch 2 after i had started a game with patch 1. Todays game however appears to be far more stable

My game atm includes me (Maya - Pacal)
Hector - trojan
Gilgamesh - summerian - now crushed :eek: :eek:
Bhuto - Pakistan
Hammurabi - Babylon
Ragnar - vikings
Asoka - indian
and saladin - Arab
 
well since everyone thinks it might be a civ because of the random maps, and hector caused your ctd and troy is new and keldath was looking into troy before we came up with that iron working bug perhaps it's the trojans.

Wait isnt patch one only for vanilla CIV not warlords?

this is not the case..got a crash by installing ´patch 2 over patch 1..

i still think it's a specific-civ-related issue..playing as you asked me, no cheating and nothing..
tech level: Divinge Right, Banking, paper
players: USA, NL, Russia, Egypt, China, Argentina, Brasil, India

no CTD yet. there are some irregularities with the F1 screen...it's blue when i hit F1, but it's not a big deal, can select city view manually...just got used to it to be city view standard before...now it's just blue, like nothing is selected..
 
nope there was a patch 1 WR and patch 2 WR - they are the warlords patchs - I think patch 2 WR includes everything that was in patch 1 WR

No, patch 1 Keldath released for warlords also!
but he came up with patch 2 after fixing the koreans...it's always them causing troubles :P
 
i see so some people just have patch 1 wr on their computer still
 
i dont know what to say guys,

i pulled every trick in the hat,

troy has a problem just because 2 of the units are wrong -
but the ctd that will occur will be ctd straight to desktop -

the current random bug - it sending windows report,
this is a different crush.

so your saying basicley its working fine?

i will try to use the civs values from the vanilla version.

say -did you played a full game in the vannilla version?
 
OK another CTD game This time - just researched education and am attacking babylon - Heactor and Bhuto are fighting - Also have just tried to change civics to public schools and universal sufferage. Just thought I just over wrote with the file Keldath just posted before the crash so maybe that maybe the cause of this one ( changing game data)
 
Man, just do what I said, test 2 by 2 Civs..Put really small map, quick game, really easy AI(that you can reduce to like 1 city but NOT DRSTROY) like settler and just let the game go..

Would help you if I had time, but tomorrow the family of my gf is coming all weekend for see our baby and also my school just started...

i have no choise to give up.

i did everything i can,

i have tryed using other civs, passing turns changing files,
not using the dll file - not using the python files,

did all what i can.

i will focus on fixing some stuff on the vanilla civ,
maybe adding some warlord stuff,

regarding to warlord version -
ill use the amra mod as a basis for the 5uu.


just all i ask of you guys to know if the vanilla version had no ctds?

were done with trying to fix the warlords version for now, also just patch it that fixes the ranch problem why havent you patched it?

I am not sure that it is the right time to insist on perfecting a MOD when the original Warlords has some nsty bugs...

for example, there is one nasty bug related to cultural flips of cities, and as it is supposedly uncommon, nobody talks about it. But I have hit the bug, and whoever has cultural flips on will hit it, maybe even without knowing it.

Basically, the game crashes to desktop whenever a city with a naval unit and land units flips, even AI cities. So, you will never know what is happening because you can't see the flip of the AI's.

I bet you are hitting the same bug here. So, relax, and wait till the firaxians fix this and many others.

good work on the mod-merge, though! c-ya!
 
Kel, perhaps you should keep it simple??

go slowly, step by step man, frist convert SEVO mod, realease, check for bugs, wait some days, fix any bug, then start with 5UU converting, slow and calm, check codes again and again, release and test for some days with ppl, fix all, then start with GIR, al again, then with Dale..

Just keep it simple, "pas a pas" :)

You shoudl check ricardojahns post as well :)
