Kingdom Come: Deception (Game Thread)

That Rask is looking at past games is a good look.

Didn't realize that Rakk was voting Visor when Tak/Tims is 3/3. Might, at the very least, rethink the Tim/rakk connection

just to be clear, I am not unvoting you Dolbster because you crossposted me with positive comments. LA deserves to be up there to see what unfolds

@Dolbster this is just an ask, but if you wanna take it as a support for your connection theory I'll understand. You know I'm not shy, or risk averse.

Just like you, the only game Rakkoon has been in with me he got N1Ked so I'm kinda hoping he stays in for a while at least.

The reason I don't want this to drive hard on the connection theory is that when I flip villager I don't want anyone thinking it clears him, because he is totally unknown to me at this point and could be a wolf.

Why was I TRing TS, man do his posts become bad after Visor starts pressuring him

@Csargo, what's prompted your change on Visor?

Mostly just because most of his recent postings align with my own thoughts of the game so far. Also think he'd try to be more commanding if he were scum, to mirror his previous games as town here. I'm not seeing that in this game.

You mean just after Samson's vote? As I said to Dolbster iirc, it was a xpost. Just not gonna lie over it, I started reading the thread during my breakfast sunday. afk saturday evening.

I will spare you the wifom argument that I would be a terrible wolf entering like this. (or will I?)

I am just better than this :king:

I just find it hard to ignore, but that's just me clutching at straws to find something it seems like at this point.

Dolbster is one of the people giving reads in this short time.

But I do get a slight town-vibe on pzelda because he's got that solvy feel. When he's scum, he doesn't like posting.

This is good and I agree

Wait, why would they be your eternal foe?
Indulging LA in this manner just doesn't feel pro-town to me. I think that most people would disagree though

Tim, when have I ever been dangerous?

Never, ever. ;)

I'm still waiting for your inner tunnel to come out. You can't help it.

Visor, thoughts on Csargo?

Dolby, thoughts on Rask?

Rakkoon, what do you think of Tim?

I was initially fine with this post, despite feeling that the question directed towards me wasn't really that pertinent and instead based on the fact that I fake-tunneled Rask at the start of last game. Fwiw I feel like Rask had an underwhelming entrance at this point, but the issue that I have with it is Samson's question revealing how little actual thought went into these questions. At first I thought he was asking Rakkoon for a read on Tim, noticing that Rakkoon danced around providing a definite read while mentioning him constantly (and yes, I understand that Tim should be talked about as he's vote leader, and it's possible to have a null on him)

My question, is why these people and this way round? An obvious answer would be that you have been in games with these people, and the askee (ie. Visor in the 1st line) was more reliable source of judgement than the target (Csargo in the 1st line). Is this consistent with the facts?

I'm trying to see how Csargo and Visor react to each other. Csargo has provided input on Visor, but not so much the opposite direction.

Dolby's last game was mafia and I wanted to see his tone towards Rask.

And Rakkoon just isn't interacting much, so I chose someone who would interact with whatever he said. Tim will reply.

First Q as fine.

Second Q reasoning is bad and so is the third Q. It feels like TS just decided to ask some questions to random people while ignoring everything that requires more than a scarth on the surface to get to it. And for what it's worth I'm mentioned how I feel that the third question (on Tim to Rakk) should be justified

TS commenting on why scum!Tim would want him dead feels fillery and ultimately unimportant when Tim doesn't seem to want TS dead by lynch that much rn. especially when he doesn't commit to a read on Tim

Reads - No Particular Order except Sections

Town Leans
Csargo - More participation than his last few games as mafia
Visorslash - Typical Visor operation, even if he's dead wrong about me. :smug:
Pzelda - Feels like he is solving better than our game with him as a partner.

Null
LordArgon - Feels like... LordArgon. I dunno, when was the last time LA was scum? Tone seems legit enough.
JohannaK - Typical Jo. Waiting for him to get riled up to see what happens.
MarcherJovian - Nothing.
Timsup2nothin - Conflicting symbols in my brain. It's difficult for me to trust him given our shady past together. I do like that he did not try to play up illiteracy. That would have been feeding the chaos.
Takhisis - Screaming at the top of his lungs as illiterate. Typical Tak, I can't read him.
GamezRule - Nothing.
Samson - I dunno. Still new to mafia. I like that he
Golden1Knight - :dunno:

Scum-Leans
Rrraskolnikov - Just a slight lean. Not much coming from our friend Rask.
Dolbster - I'm getting flashbacks to before. But I'm not used to his town game... he died N1 in my game.
Rakkoon - Seems to be flying low for Rakkoon's modus operandi.

Idk about this, while his justifications for Csargo and Zelda TR are alright and I agree with them. But his "typical Visor" thing just feels weird. Me and multiple others have noted that Visor feels different this game.

"Typical Jo" - Jo at this point had made one post voting me for my paragons

TS just trailing off to nothing with his Samson read just feels bad, like, he's struggling to think of something, can't think of anything, and just leaves it. That he already knows what he wants to say and can't justify it. This is a strech and a half, but just leaving it unfinished pings me

Having wolfed with TS, with you watching the wolf room, I have to say that the idea that a wolfTS would be backed into a corner on day one by a little questioning from a first game player is more than a stretch and a half. I'm certainly not town reading TS...just reminding you how big this particular leap really is.

I was assuming Tim was going to get lynched anyway, he was the only bandwagon at the time. Tak was only on my list for the awkward roleplaying. Again nobody is following my glorious example. So now I can go for two bandwagons...screw it, a third one.
Unvote
Vote LordArgon

LordArgon hates illiterates, which seems wolfy. But why say it out loud? Because he thought all villagers were literate?
Three bandwagons and you guys choose!

Dolbster is referring to this:

Samson - I dunno. Still new to mafia. I like that he

Whoa you guys are really taking my joke a bit too far. I am pretty sure it was Tak who did it anyways. I am going to vote: Rakkoon for their horrible logic and for being a bandwagon jumper

I've been puzzling over what makes someone read "towney." I am accustomed to be read as "the towniest" and never really could figure out why. It was really handy as a wolf, because I just did what I always did, got read as the towniest, and then lead the lynch mob to whoever I wanted to get rid of. It's only been handy once as an actual townie, because only one time did I happen to lead the lynch mob to an actual wolf in time to get a win for the town. I set out not to be leading the lynch mob, and I've failed since I still find myself with the mob at my heels...in a much different way, admittedly.

Being a totally paranoid player I read pretty much everyone as a wolf. That, I think, is why I don't understand "town reads" or "town cred," because I usually just assume its a wolf putting on a front. So I have spent day one really studying "town play." The only thing I recognize is that town players really really want to solve the game, find a wolf, get it right. I've been studying instead of trying, and right enough I'm "less townie" for it.

Ultimately, "trying hard" is at least simulated by volume posting. One third of the players account for two thirds of the posts, and among that one third the only one getting serious suspicion is me. Players who haven't been around for the recent games may find it hard to believe, but that supports my point. Normally I account for a third of the posts by myself, so even though I'm at the top of the postcount to the people who have been around it still looks like I am not trying.

Problem is, of course, that I maxed the count just as hard as a wolf, so that's not really a reliable indicator of trying.
<---full summary of the thread--->

This is trying. There is no question that he read the thread. I read the thread obsessively when I am town. I'm desperately looking for clues, looking at your posts on day one and comparing them to your posts later trying to find an inconsistently to hang you from. I had to force myself to read the thread as a wolf because I already knew who I wanted to hang. My paranoia, of course, says that a wolf can do a summary as a fake effort, but this seems like a lot of effort as a fake, especially since it sets a precedent. He's committed to being a "summarizer" for the duration.
<--demands that Raskol participate--->
<---demands that Gamez participate--->
<---is digging so hard to find a clue that he trips over a weird post numbering anomaly--->
<---response to my totally unreasonable demand that he stay up and post reads--->
This is trying. This is trying bloody hard.

That's my town reads.

Sounds townie. Also Rakkoon's vote was weird, but it looks like he kinda miscounted the votes and that's not really scummy (supposing here he wanted to make a three way tie)

Unvote.

Vote: Takhisis to reestablish a tie. Now it's illiterate hater vs illiterate
