Kingdom Come: Deception (Game Thread)

I'm for lynching among Jo, LA, or GK. If we wanna test TopSecret's claim, fine, although I don't see how his claimed power verifies his alignment even if he proves he has it.

I agree, but maybe we can catch up someone he doesn't want us to lunch :groucho: (since apparently, he wants that tie)

Tim tunneling...

Ninjad by Rask, but I’m probably going to have to reread GK

That will take an unfortunately short read. An apparently veteran player recognized by Visor comes along, and remains a cipher...and Visor is conveniently dead. I read that as "huh, a whole lot of players are allowed to just lay in the weeds here, guess I'll join them," and there's only one reason a veteran player chooses to lie in the weeds...and it ain't to catch wolves.

Yeah.
From memory I would say Jo is typically catching up most of the time and pops in at EOD. By the end of the game, he has enough info though that his reads don't need fresh info to be informative.

But really I need to check to see if that's real or my memory is failing me/Tim is misleading us.

You can always tell the wolves from the villagers once you spread their guts across the floor.

Thinking back on LordArgon's literacy shenanigans on day 1, it could be that he started out with the letter and has some kind of shortcut victory condition in case it gets read. If that is the case, it makes sense that he doesn't want to admit to it, because it'd torpedo the odds of getting the shortcut.

That's a possibility. I like his posts though. votes less. (that reminds me I should really do the tally thing before EOD).

My memory is no more perfect than yours, but since we have pretty much the same impression I think we are okay here and should spend our time more wisely. It's not like anyone is saying "don't lynch Jo." The reasons are sound and maybe we will...but haring off after "well, maybe there's a nuance here in this Jo lynch idea" while @Gamez is just flat missing and GK is doing a pop in vote...c'mon, priorities @Dolbster. You don't trust my reads...great, I get it. But let's not waste time on Jo over it.

A third party "get this letter read" mission? Maybe I guess. I'm for hanging him anyway.

By the way, I'm for getting the letter read to, so are you thinking it's a shortcut win for me?

gotta eat. Back in a couple of hours for the show.

@MJ: LA another 3P? one of Tak/LA is lying?

His posts point out that the people who are acting wolfy are acting wolfy. We have a game full of people who acted wolfy up until they made a claim, and a bunch of people who laid in the weeds occasionally pointing at the people who were acting wolfy.

@Dolbster: need to ISO last Jo games, but I prolly won't have the time by EOD.

@topsecret: you up against LA?

Sorry if I ignored you earlier.

But the answer is...

I don't care. Choose anyone. I know I am a townie.

There is no one I don't want to lynch. You, Tim, Dolby, etc. Of course, I am inclined to believe Dolby, but if the town decides it, so be it. Because I know my claim is true and I have no teammates.

It guess it's possible that really it's just you who has a shortcut win and LA is something else, or it's a two-player third faction, but I think a multiple-person third faction is pretty unlikely in a game that's heavy vanilla, and getting a full claim out of LA about what his mysterious power that only serves himself is could help clear up confusion about the first idea. You pointing that out yourself makes me lean against it, but it's still a possibility to keep in consideration.

Regardless of your alignment Tim (still not full trust from me but whatever), this is a great summary of the game.
