Kyoto Terrain

Wow nice work!!! This terrain would look great for fantasy scenarios I think. It's certainly a big improvement on the original Firaxis graphics! I really like it!

Please upload anything else you have made! My philosphy is upload anything you make even if it's not that good in your own opinion because someone else may love it.

Uploading everything I made ?

After I have finaly learned working with our pcx format ,I have really endlessly produced variations of existing files. To upload all files would make no sense and surely not meet the interest of members who don`t like a clustered/spammed DB. My other terrains have flaws here and there ,what is no wonder because they`re all older. More or less I have produced them only to learn.
Especially my several Interface conversions has become a great amount of bytes. Only my "Stone Interface" has more than 250 pcx`s files ! But many with minor flaws or half finished. Not to speak about my "Gold" ,"Gold Stone" ,"Ice" ,"Ice Stone" Interface Packs...

My next terrain should be become a scary one. I want to make a "Hell Terrain":devil: for one of my own scenarios. When I`m finished I will make a "Hell Interface":satan: conversion to cover up the terrain. But in the moment it`s not planed to upload it.

Fair enough. That hell terrain/interface if made would be very cool. Have you seen Rhye's underworld terrain? It's pretty good.
 
Actually, the volcano lava burst could use some re-doing into a more reddish thing...

Yeah ,I know it ,but against mine his will only look like a kiddie version. My first files (Vulcanos) looking like a nightmare of Fire and Lava ! The water will offer much more the impression of burning Lava. While the rest of the terrain will get added some smoke effects ,which I `lend` from Wyrm Units. But this is only experimental and has not proof it right to exists yet. So maybe it`s just loud mouth bla bla. The future will show...

You`re a welcome to do so. Please realize that I would not recommend a usage for Epic games. At least it would not fit to my taste. But never tried by my own. It`s more a Scenario Terrain Pack ,I think.;)

It`s Vuldacon`s "Vulcano Eruption" in action ,not the generic one. But sorry man ;a Vulcano animation has ,so far ,nothing to do with an Terrain Pack. Like the Cities. The last one could be discussed ,but the animation folder stuff is something different. You will not find a single Terrain Pack which has included such files.

In post #21 (Spoiler) and #25 I`ve told a bit about my next terrain. It should become better (more fire and lava) than Rhyes Underground. At least my first files allow me to say that.

One other of my terrains which is already finished has only a flaw in one of the water pcx. It looks pretty uncommon ,and has in the moment the name "UV Terrain" because I`ve `leeched` the ultra-violet parts out of the images.:crazyeye: I`ve done a darker and a lighter version. So that the terrain is actually two. My first ingame test was successful (for me). After 10 mins of misliking it ,I`ve enjoyed it more and more. And before I have realized what I was doing I`ve found myself playing AoI4 with it for hours.
The downsides of the UV terrain are :
a)mountains and vulcanos are much to red
b)one water file has (Tetris-like) darkblue blocks in it
c)the general look is very uncommon.

Never knew what can be done with Firaxis rather simple terrain. Meanwhile I`ve seen their terrain in every color combination possible.:scan: ...and even impossible combinations:lol:

But to return to your original question : much to many to name here:D
 
HoMM3 used several hellish volcano animated graphics in isometric form, if you want to take a look at them and see if they can be used. I have converted them already to unit graphics, but making them the volcano graphic could be easy enough.

I'm interested to see what you create! This terrain set was very good!

In the moment I have the ego to only convert Firaxis graphics. But mainly to avoid trouble with other Terrain Creators out here.:mischief:(Some of my conversion let look the original creator like a newbie. To show my respect I can not uploading them. The compact power of 8.500 PhotoShop Filters (.8bf) is behind me:D So I have literally millions of possibilities to convert the original gfx into)
But of course I ask myself how an Ares or Snoopy or Ryhe Terrain would look devil-like. To use your HoMM3 gfx would not be really on my line of production. I have already experimented around with including other gfy into my originals but only to find out that they`re making things more complicated. Or even destroy the general look of the Set. But if you feel like uploading them I will take ,at least, a look. Maybe there is something to use. But my current experience says :no - it`s a waste of time.

Syntax :
The name of the Filter/Effect plus an digit to show the intensity of the settings used.
So "OIL ROCK" means that I`ve first "oiled" the image than "rocked" it.
"Harry3 Artistic BlurryPainting" means FilterPack "Harry`s Filters 3". From these Pack the "Artistic" SubPack. And finally the Filter itself - "BlurryPainting". (This could be my best Terrain Pack for Epics ,so far. IF the water wasn`t `blessed` with a dark blue grid network (sigh,sigh,sigh...).)
For the OIL Terrains ;just think of the WaterColor Terain and you`ll know how it looks. My six SubVersions (OIL1 - OIL6) are already deleted from my HD.

CORRECTION :
In post #21 I`ve said my "Stone Interface" (AncientRock4-6) have 250 files. A check today has brought up that they are for real 390 files. Yeah dudes ,only ONE Interface Pack ! But it is the only existing (but unreleased) Interface coming with all C3/PTW/C3C files needed. To keep things simple as possible I have just converted every single GFX coming with the game.
