At first I was wondering why you would do this, with Persia at your back. Then I realised, you're probably doing it as a way to keep up with Persia.
If he already unlocked CKNs i think i should worry a lot more than he would.

After playing my turn i realized that i can afford a pretty large army of Longswordmen in some turns so if he wants to try the big guy he's welcome.

It was a little joke btw. Nothing serious demand from Romans yet. Yeah the GW is indeed a huge step to climb but don't forget that i can wait to be under a GA to ''try'' you someday.
Seriously i'm too lazy to go at war for now...my people is still affected from the Holy Classical War waged against Suleiman and i'm still trying to convince them that it was only a bad dream.
My only goal now is to be the first to reach the numerous ancient ruins wandering away and be ready to settle nice and virgin lands that will give me immortality...i hope!(hmm wait i'm already immortal after all?)

This turn Armed Forces of Kingdom of Songhai conquered the city state of Lhasa. It took us three turns to break down defenses of the city.
People of Lhasa were forced to grant our kingdom one luxury resource of ivory. Askia will be delighted to exchange this ivory for some other lux or sell it for 4 gpt.
Bunch of the city states frightened by Songhai potential aggression are asking for assistance against Songhai. Don't believe their preaching!
