Kyp's GMR Game (open sign ups)

RStark (related to Tony Stark?), your Songhai empire seems to be encroaching on the Egyptian heartland. Hopefully it is a new city...it couldn't be your capital. You've settled next to some spices, which are a mere four tiles from the heart of my empire.

We will need to explore the map and have clear and open discussions about our next settlements. Being so close already, even if unintended, you have restricted our development along one of our main rivers. Let us work together to insure this does not lead us down the ashen path of war.

RStark is related to Rob Stark from Game of Thrones TV show.

I haven't met any egyptians yet so I do not know where they are.
However, one of my spears noticed part of roman borderline to north-east from Timbukty (Songhai's second city). So Askia has some assumption of relative position of Roman Empire. I suggest that the Ceaser settles his next cities on the eastern part of the continent, while Songhai people will settle on the western part of the continent.

Also I'd like to mention that my second city is located on the same river bank as my capital does. My capital is founded to south from CS named Rio-de-Jeneiro.

Thank you for this information.

If the Songhai scouts I met is any indication of the whereabouts of you and your friends empire then I would caution against moving to far east. These are Aztec lands and we have no intention to share.

Hey, Aztec warlord, you must have confused Songhai with other civ. The matter is that Songhai army doesn't possess any scouts :)

Kiffe and me are very close too :D

Hmn, was this a terra map?

Which is why I have told you, and sought cooperation. Your response is, of course, up to you.

Why, Songhai people would like to cooperate with romans in order to live in peace and harmony.
I haven't found any good spot for the third city yet. But Askia will inform Roman Empire of his future plans in this matter when it happens.

Ahem, we are Egypt. Consider your foreign advisor's qualifications. ;)

Hmn, was this a terra map? - Yes, it is

Hmn, so anyone without at least one coastal city will be out of luck when the land rush in the new world begins....

Ahem, we are Egypt. Consider your foreign advisor's qualifications. ;)
Oh there is so much misunderstanding :mischief:
Songhai met Romans, but we have not met Egypt yet.
Ok, then Askia think that he can cooperate with Egypt in matter of city building. :)

We Romans do not build pyramids, and take unkindly to being mistaken for others. We are currently happy with the extent of our western lands, however, so will let this offense pass.

The gods have seen the first wonder of our world.
Egyptians, our neighbors, gathered large number of manuscripts and built a magnificent library to store them and accumulate new knowledge. Scholars from all parts of the world come to study at the great library.
So Askia hopes that the egyptian leader will not be greedy when time comes to divide disputed city construction sites between our nations. ;)

The Aztec mystics congratulate this... Egyptian you called it? Civilization on this great building of marble pillars and dusty books.
They also question the importance of scientific writings collected in this "library". The Aztec people are, and will forever be, a godsfearing people.
We are already creating great and beautiful monuments in their honour that will show the world the real power of the great Xiuhcoatl! The God of the Sun!

Seriously, because we built a wonder, that's a reason for us to give away some (more) of our land? The way I see it, you're already all up in my face...can't build any cities that side of my cap.............(can you tell I've been watching The Wire?). ;)

But yeah, I'll try to be generous in our negotiations. :deal:

Actually, he's more of a god of the sunrays or something lame like that. Atleast according to the wiki page. Have some 100 gods to choose from. ^^

And yes, I read it. Interested but I rather like the slower pace of GMR and I dont see myself having time to play a complete game in one evening.
