As we have said, we have no quarrel with our neighbours, the Japanese, or the Songhai or Aztecs for that matter. (There was a minor border dispute with the Songhai many moons ago, which was peacefully resolved and was largely the fault of our own diplomats. )

We are a small nation without much in the way of resources, and as a result our focus is more on learning, and currently, exploration.

After entering Rennesanse, I noticed a curious thing: payment needed to sign RA has not increased for my civ.

So Askia would like to sign other RAs. Songhai has gone on the path of Piety rather than Rationalism, so we will be in equal footing regarding the research bonus with any civ which already took Rationalism opener.

If my mapmakers are correct then Aztec lands can be found as far east as you can go, on a peninsula. We can only be reached by sea because the small landmass connecting us with the mainland is blocked by CS and Songhai/Egypt border.
