leader head meiji

1st post, just like I told ya'. :)

From the preview thread this leaderhead looks like a great alternative to the ugly Tokugawa leaderhead, I think Meiji is much more important because it was him who modernized Japan and made them into a world power.

Downloading right away! :goodjob:

RAW format??? have you at least tried to use it yourself? this is incompatible with civ3.

EDIT: It should be 256-color PCX, with two first colors as something unused ie. Magenta (#FF00FF). Before starting new thread and uploading files to CFC, you should have checked if what you have done works.

Sorry to say that, but in fact you messed up all files.
Your flics have 1210 frames, so the head doesn't really move.
Also his face expression doesn't change at all... why he has the same static lips glued to his face? Even the simplest Poser figure has "smile" and "frown" morphs.
As for the slow modem, isn't it simpler to upload all files first, only after it's complete, start a new thread?

Shiro! Please test your files before uploading. AGAIN, you uploaded files that don't work with Civ3. I told you that PCX must have 256 colors (so called "Indexed Colors") with 2 first colors set to magenta. Your files are RGB.

And yes, flics had 1210 frames. This is most likely because you set frame rate to 10, which means 10 frames per 1 actual frame. Frame rate should be 1.

I told you already:
- for flics, set frame rate to 1.
- for PCX, convert them to Indexed Color - with 256 colors and two first colors as magenta. There are tutorials on this in tutorials section, ie. it is explained in the gael's/kinboats tutorial that I gave you link to. That tutorial actually has step-by-step explanation of everything you had to do.

Shiro, focus more on what you do. Test your creations before uploading them, read tutorials and try to work out things by yourself. You learn things better by doing, not by just following other people's advice mechanically. Also, there is no hurry with things. You don't need to upload it the first moment you believe it might be in a working condition.

All the information you need is available: Embryodead's advice and gael's leaderhead tutorial. All you need is a bit more patience. Just keep working. :)

Shiro, the preview you did looks really good; there is no rush, and you'll learn more by trial and error than you will by just reading other tutorials, like Drift was saying. I'm really looking forward to this being completed.

Me too, keep trying, and thanks for the effort you're putting into it!
