I've been playing lurking this forum for some time and I noticed many threads concern dealing with some particular leaders.

Is there anywhere available a strategy article on leader personalities? I would certanly like to learn which leaders are better be wiped out as soon as possible (Monty, I suppose), which are the most pasifist such as Gandhi, which do and which do not value same religion etc.

Montezuma is a complete and utter nut job and you can count on him to attack you without reason and without provocation unless you have enough diplomatic good will with him. Even then, he'll still attack you unless you convince him to go attack someone else first. He just isn't happy unless he's attacking someone.
Kill early, kill often. If you work hard and get lucky, he can be your attack dog, though.

Alexander will attack you and crush you if he sees even the slightest sign of weakness. Also, most civs tend to hate him, so it's usually not worth being friends with him unless he happens to share the religion that you want to have.

Isabella and Mansa Munsa both love you if you share their religion and hate you if you have a different religion.

Tokugawa is a xenophobic idiot. Unless he has a rediculously good starting position, he will have a terrible tech rate after a while. You'll have to kill him if he's a neighbor, but it won't be too terrible to do so after you get enough of a tech lead even though his archers will have Garrison II and possibly even III. I'm sure your City Raider II riflemen will be able to take them out.

Everyone else is just fine to deal with most of the time. Sharing a religion helps. Trading and open borders helps. Cutting off relations with a mutually disagreeable civ IF THEY ASK FOR THAT helps.

Rule of thumb, Hatchy, Ghandi, & Mansu are your tech trading buddies. Don't try to knock em out early, but keep them as friends.
