Leader Screens in Boot Camp

I'm running Civ 5 on my iMac i5. I have bootcamp and Windows XP (SP3) loaded. The game runs flawlesly and I have already spent many hours with no major issues.

My onw gripe is that the leader screens are either completely black, or I get a hybrid of black screen and 3D animation. Does anyone know what can be done to fix this? here are my specs:

Display: ATI Radeon HD 4850
RAM: 8GB
Processor: Intel Quad Core i5 (x4: 750 @ 2.67GHz)

How are the settings for the leaders?
If they are set to low, you should only get static images, and this should not be a problem at all. I'd be suprised if that did not work.
