Definitely sounds like it, just speaking a more modern form of Persian versus...whatever you want to call the mess Cyrus is speaking.

Kinda strange they have the same guy voicing both him and Cyrus and that they sound exactly the same. I can understand why that happened, but it's disappointing.

Usually when a voice actor has multiple roles in the same media, their characters don't sound identical.

Indeed. I get Western relations with Iran are not cozy right now, but we have a pretty big Persian diaspora in the US--seems like finding a Farsi-speaking VA who could read a Classical Persian script would not be that hard.

Doesn't even matter, really. Voice actor sessions are quite routinely remote. Sean Bean records all of his Civ 6 lines in the UK, for instance.

I’m very surprised they didn’t go with some kind of plunder bonus for Nader, given that his infamous plundering of Delhi was so lucrative it allowed him to pause taxation in Persia for three years!
