Here, I'll make a dumb opinion type thread. Which standard unit in Civ3(and all it's expansions) is your least favourite unit to play with? And when I say Play with, I don't mean "this units stats suck, who'd use it". But rather when you have a unit, and you think "I wish the graphic was different for this" or "I wish the sound effect was better" or "I love this guy, but damn that animation sucks". So putting aside all references to the units affect or importance to your game, which is your least favourite?
(If you still dont know what I mean, maybe my choices will help
For me in Civ 3, and even those that came before, it's the modern transport. There's a huge disconnect, when your sea is full of AEGIS Cruisers, Carriers, Destroyers and Battleships and a bunch of dinky D-Day landing craft. The D-Day craft might be best known in popular culture, but it's not an ocean-going transport. I'd rather have some nondescript merchant ship type rather than that, at least it'll look like it belongs with the rest of your fleet.
Honorable mention goes to the Cavalry unit. Which for some inexplicable reason, has a sound effect of a horse rather than a rifle shot. Such that when two cavalry get into a fight, it sounds more like horse trash talk (or worse) rather than actual combat.
