Let's debate MMO payment models

That looks like FPS WvW from GW2, which I'll admit sounds kind of sweet. But I'd really need a world to explore. I've got Battlefield for all my raw FPS needs.

Getting top gear faster in GW2 is really only applicable if you don't want to play the PvE side.

I'd probably never play PvP except to fully explore everywhere, if that's still there. The only PvP I ever did in GW1 was to get cartography in Cantha. Otherwise I avoid PvP like the plague it is.

PvP is super fun. WvWvW has it's faults, but when the teams are kind of balanced, it's a blast to play.
