I still cant consider time a dimension simply based on how the first to third dimensions work, I cannot correlate time to also being a dimension.

Perhaps try this argument out:

Dimensions are about where things are.

Consider a party invitation. It contains both a location (spatial dimensions) and a time (time dimension).

If you show up at the incorrect location (even if you're on time), you will not be at the party. If you show up at the incorrect time (even you're at the right location), you will also not be at the party.

You will only be at the party when you are at the right place, at the right time. And conversely, if you're at the same place and the same time as the party, you can't not be at the party.

The next dimension is obviously beer. If you show up to a party with the wrong amount or type of beer, even if you're at the right place, floor, and time, they might not let you in if you show up with 1 can of PBR.
